I get weird looks a lot especially when I say thinkgs like derp in tutoring sessions

yeah, might not be the average tutor word, but I think I've heard teachers say things like that before. some of the younger writing teachers anyway and my art teacher understood what I meant when I said something was being derp for me.

I just get weird looks but it's whatever I'm weird.

so having a sick tutor and tutee makes for a very unproductive session.

Eh, I honestly think the likelihood of me ever leaving Texas for more than a few years is slim.
All my family is here and we are ridiculously close.
However, I want to experience leaving out of Texas for my Ph.D.
and I feel we have had this conversation before.

I don't understand how you can have a connection with a place for one, and secondly, I don't see any appeal in texas.

Like I said, I think I'm more connected to the people than the place. my family will always be in Texas.
I also like Texas weather (or at least think I can tolerate heat better than cold)

I just have no connection to it. I could be wherever.

I'm thinking, how will my teacher know if I edited my story or not? she didn't read the last few drafts. I did edit it some too. I just only changed the first half of the story this time around. >.>
