Annie leaned her head back against the chair and stared up at the white tiled ceiling of the hospital, just listening to the steady beeping of the of the heart monitor. Within the consistent beeping she started hearing voices. She heard a young Jorden, crying “Mama, mama!”, a man’s cruel laugh, yells of “SLUT!” as she walked out of the brothel, a child’s laughter, Jorden calling her name as he returned home from his first month at school, the phone ringing with a unwanted message on the other side. Then a sound rang through the room, loud and jarring. Annie flew out of her chair and looked around for the source of the noise. As she did so a flurry of nurses, RNs and doctors filed into the room. That’s when Annie knew, her son had flatlined, the beeping was the signal of his end. The doctors brushed passed her and began the motions of reviving him, but Annie knew, her son wasn’t returning. He had left her alone just as she was always meant to be. Annie slowly turned and walked out of the room. No tears drifted from her eyes, no sob escaped her lips. She made no sound, she just turned and left. Returning back to the life she was meant to, the life of a loner, a widow who never had a husband. A heart without a home, and yet Annie knew it had always been that way.

lol i know it's weird. i've been there before. i keep having dreams about adam lambert thouse are strange enough. especially since they have been semi-lucid dreams
