that seems a bit harsh. no, I think there's tons out there to learn. we have yet to turn real life into a sci-fi movie/book. and of course, there's always room to learn we were wrong.
have you seen the show on discovery about string theory? it confused the heck out of me, but it was pretty amazing. string theory is one idea for how quantum mechanics and general relativity can be linked and it calls for multiple dimensions and all sorts of impossible equations.

okay so everything we have to discover is an a ridiculiously small level that just boggles the mind. nyah. i'd prefer to be discovering that the earth was round and not flat. seems easier.

yeah, the thing about what we're discovering now is that its beyond the average level of understanding.
and discovering the world was round wasn't a big thing. not many people thought it was flat for long.
