I ran errands with my mom today. got my laptop back, but it seems to still be broken....

no it doesn't. its because it wasn't the computer that was broken in the first place. I always thought the charger was the culprit!!

I thought my dad said he tested it (or that's what my mom said). he tested the computer's battery I know. I took the charger with me when I took the laptop to best buy, but they didn't want it. but they fixed my screen problem.
