haha you always freak yourself out tae. and once you've freaked yourself out you are gonna start looking for defects and find them and then be dissatisfied with your drawing. it's a vicious cycle. really.

wow, I do that with my art sometimes too. I'm very good at finding defects in my own work.

i knoooow TT^TT but this time around its different! It's even more intense. I really really really love this Geno drawing. It's not just a commission thing that i just wanna get over with. I love this thing so far. Remember how I was with the "Forsaken Paradise" painting? Multiply that by about 3. I feel so much passion for this thing. The only way I could love it more is if the subject was Link. (I've been fangirling over him for a few days now, just so you know... i may be a bit biased with that statement) If I mess it up... I will be soooooooo heartbroken :<

You won't mess it up Tae! You'll be fine. I promise. Just stop freaking yourself out cuz if you paint it will freaking out you are gonna do something wrong. Just go with your instincts they shan't lead you wrong!

I always get attached to a drawing if it's one of my own character I'm drawing or one for the few people who have repeatedly ordered art from me and become regular customers.

I get issues sometimes where I just don't give a crap about a work I'm doing.... it's actually been happening a lot. "Forsaken" was the last work I sincerely cared about.

I try not to get toooo attached to my work. its more stressful that way.

that's not good tae (ugh i keep trying to type your real name). You need to find your mojo again! Though I sincerely hope that reading the sidhe will inspre you b/c chazzam has some majorly awesome visual imagery. I want to draw it but I'd mess it up so i won't...

As for my muse/mojo, i think it's finally come back this week (hence my jump to do that Geno commission). It's been on hiatus this whole summer and finally, this week when I was going through some old drawings, my sister came by and asked me, "can you still draw manga?" I said "hell yea I can, just haven't done it in 3 years." So I pull out a pen and a piece of paper and draw an old OC in the anime style. It looked so much better than my old stuff. I think what happened that night is I remembered what it was like just to draw for yourself like i did back then. It felt so good, and so free.... i've been drawing doodles everyday since Tuesday.

that's good than you found your happiness in drawing again tae! I guess siblings are good for something after all.
