The tip I would give to an aspiring artist is learn to draw well... No point talking about art where draftsmanship is poor. Don't let anybody tell you it doesn't matter.
There's another tip I would give to anyone who aspires toward greatness in whatever they do. Sarah Bernheardt, the legendary 19th c stage actress, believed that "it is by spending oneself that one becomes rich." It takes hard work to be a good painter, give it 100% and you will not only better yourself, you will become valuable to others. The payoff in meeting your potential is great, but it has to cost you something. Be your own worst critic, be hard on yourself, and don't give up easily.

Haha yes you should be your own worst critic but at the same time. I swear if we let you describe you art to someone they would just think you were a mediocre maybe better than average artist. which is just not true.

...probably... fine, point taken there. but why describe when i can show? :P

btw, i'm thinking about correcting some things in Forsaken when I get back... the fact the face is more saturated than the body because "I ran out of time" irritates me.
