normally I'm not the one who likes stupid stuff, but in this case, I do.

weird. I just I like good fics because they basically replace books for me so I want something quality.

seriously my fics are like drama, angst, or action. that is it. I think I have like one or two fluffy fics and they rarely ever update.

I hate those comedy movies.

I'm reading uber angst and depressing fics right now.

I like some of them. If they are done well

I have some of those most definitely. no character deaths yet though but one of them promises them
and another promises some major drama that i think is going to end with one if not both characters getting roughed up pretty bad. oh and maybe one of them going temporarily insane. (that author is promising we are gonna hate her and I've already almost thrown my computer with some of her stuff and that wasn't near as bad as what it could have been)

I prefer the dumb fics

my fics are just messed up depressing love relationships.
and the one where reid is currently being raped and tortured by an unsub with no hope of rescue. that's just depressing and intense.

I think the one I just described is probably the worst.
I tend to avoid fics with rape or character death.
I also have a fic where a very Baptist Blaine is having to come to terms with being guy and it just makes my heart hurt.

Yeah. and most of that is me guessing, it will probably be worse. because it's always worse than what I guess
I guess that's what counts. I just can't handle the thought of Blaine or Kurt getting raped (but now that I think about it and I am reading a couple of aftermath fics. And a few post gaybashing fics)
it's heartbreaking at the moment but i think it will be really heartwarming by the end.

I like the aftermath fics a lot! i have a tendency to read fanfics like their original stories and have nothing to do with the characters I love so much.

See I can do that and my true AUs will be like that but I tend to prefer seeing that even though these fics are set in some totally different world we still have the same two characters and they are characterized like that for the most part. That's probably the biggest reason I loved The Sidhe so much was because Chazzam had them characterized amazingly

Characterization is just something that's really important for me. In anything. I try and invest myself into the characters minds. Find out what's important to them. It's how I analyze characters for literature. And how I predict actions in books and stuff. You just have to understand what motivates your characters.

I'm tired. hm and not on tumblr because I love spoilers but only to a point.

right. characters need to be well developed, believable, and three dimensional. we talk about that in my creative writing class
