"so your a lover of good old English fashion?" the thought seemed to cheer up the hatter.

Marissa laughed, "You could say that... or you could say Like like functional fashion" He said with a smile, "Really corsets so tight you can't breath.. its positively insane" He sighed a bit.

"I have heard that there are some women that have died trying too give birth because they wore them to tight. thank the gods that my Irean never felt that way." setting down the hat he smiled. "well it looks like you have tried on all my hats."

Marissa nodded and pointed to the sizable stack of hats, "Then if Angelo is willing to pay....this is what I want" He said softly as he looked them over.

at that time Angelo walked back into the shop. seeing the stack he raised his eyebrow. "are you sure you don't want the rest of the shop?" he asked smiling.

Marissa blushed a bit and fidgeted, "I-its to much isn't it..." He said looking at the hats, "Ahh I'll put some back if it is...I don't mind..."

"no it is not too much I just exasperated that you would have had more." Angelo smiled at the hatter. "how much do I owe you, and dont tell me nothing because I will not accept that." the hatter blushed as he had been planning on saying just that.
"umm can we talk about the price privately?" the hatter nodded to the door to the back room.
"of course," Angelo turned to Marissa. "you do not mind waiting for a bit do you? the store next door sell books and stationary that you can go look at. get anything there just tell him that I sent you."

Marissa gave a small nod and nervously exited the store. He headed next door looking up at the sign and then walking in quietly. Looking everything like a lost young lady as he started to walk down the aisles and look at the shelves.

"may I help you find anything?" a young boy walked up to Marissa. "looking for a book to read?"

Marissa looked a bit confused, "I think so..." He said quietly, his voice taking on a more feminine tone than he used with Angelo.
"Master Angelo sent me over... He's buying me some lovely hats" Marissa said cheerfully, doing his best to sound like a young girl.

"I know that, he said you might be comming over, what are you looking for?" the boy sounded exasperated with Marissa.

Marissa blinked a little and looked a little bothered by the boy's tone, "I'm not sure... I... I suppose I'm supposed to be looking at Educational books...Or maybe he meant books for my own purposes..."
He looked a little flustered.

"well which is it?" the boy cocked his head to the side and raised an eyebrow. " pleasure or pain?"

"what..." Marissa looked a little confused for a moment, then it sunk in, "Um I dunno A Mix of both I suppose..." He said softly, "J-just to be safe."

the boy rolled his eyes. "what is pleasure"

Marissa frowned at the boy a little, he didn't really like the attitude he was getting, but he would deal with it.
"Romance novels..." He said quietly, "And... fantasy books... and any sort of travel stories about other lands" He said folding his arms a bit.

snorting he lead him to a different section. "thought so." he pointed to the start of the row. "that is where it starts if you need any thing else just yell...if you can yell." he laughed as he walked off.

Marissa looked a little hurt,he stood there starring at the rows of books and sighed.
"I can yell" He muttered to himself, "I just ...I just don't like too.." He started picking his way through the books, flipping through pages to decide if they seemed interesting or not.
Some pages caused him to blush, he always quickly returned those to the shelves, he had no need for that sort of writing.

after what seemed like hours but was probable under an hour, Angelo walked into the shop and found Marissa. "so find anything you would like?"

Marissa nodded he held some books in his arms looking a little over burdened, he'd been to nervous to go up to the desk and ask for help. "I found some... I.. I don't think the boy who works here is very nice..." He muttered quietly.

Then he looked a little worried, "AH! I should have picked out some stationary!" He said looking around, "I...I completely forgot!"

taking the books from his hands Angelo smiled. "do not worry we still have time. the stationary is up there in the front in the drawers." pointing angelo walked towards the back where the register was.

Marissa nodded and glanced reluctantly towards the register. He sighed and started towards it.
He paused and pulled open the drawers, keeping his head down, the other boy made him nervous.

walking to the back angelo sighed. this was a good day, and it was only getting better. latter tonight when they got back to the house he was going to send for the Hatter. he had missed company so much he had not known it till seeing him again.

Marissa took the papers he'd selected and walked over to the desk setting them down as he waited for Angelo to come over and pay.
He fidgeted a bit, still not comfortable around that boy.

"these going on Misters Angelo's bill?" the boy picked up and flipped through the stack of paper. on the counter there was the stack of books already getting wrapped up by a young girl who looked like she had just bee woken up.
