I've never heard of that series. Well, I'm not much of an avid reader so I'm really not familiar with any series out there (aside from popular things like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings) hahaha.

What's this Xanthe series about?

lol @ lord of the rings. Xanth series is a part of the world partially connected to Earth (florida) only accessable through a gateway. and all of the magical beings within it. It is great series, but several of the books are out of print and hard to find.

It's about a fantasy world that is shaped like Florida, where EVERYTHING is literal and puns are abundant, there are worlds within worlds and everyone has a magical power

The author is Peirs Anthony, the first in the series is A Spell for Chameleon

I personally love the series called Xanth and my middle name is Xanthe. hence another pun with my mene name. but yes there a pie-trees, ladies slipper bushes, Spelling-bees that spell words for treats. all the books' names are puns as well.

Every inhabatant of Xanth is born with a talent. the Good Magician Humphrey....What was his talent....I forgot...

Or, ya know.... you could be Surprise Golem, and have every talent in the series, though she can only use each once.... but with a limitless imagination, she can quite have the same talent more than once, just in different variations

also, due to the puns, if you see a bucket.... don't kick it lol

there are also different breeds of beings, like mermaids, harpies, centaurs, even a couple of winged centaurs


one book I liked was Isle of View ^_^ (centered around the winged centaurs if I remember correctly)

Centaurs and Dolph having to pick between the Hot Princess Nada Naga and the tomboyish Princess Electra. He and Electra had such neat kids... I don't know which I REALLy liked the most, but i love the ending to Yon Ill WInd.~

The Magician of Information, Good Magician Humfrey is a withered, old, gnome of a man with five and a half wives. His talent is purportedly to know the answer to every question. In actuality, his talent is to know where to find the answer to every question.

Yeah I just looked it up. I can't believe he already has over 33 books out. and still writing more!~

ok, so I found it.... my FAVORITE Xanth book that I have read so far, Centaur Isle, fourth in the series

I need to re-read them all..... but I don't know where they are, so far as I know, up to probably 2000, my Mom and I have all of the books. Sure, some after that, but not all and I don't think in the right order either

Maybe that's what I'll do tomorrow, search through boxes to find ones with books in them and start back at the beginning

will you find me a site where i can read Fawn and games? I can't find it anywhere I have the other books and i dont read them if I cant read them in order.~

I have, they have it on record, but someone stole it about 30 years ago practically whenever it was new on the shelf. IDK when it came out.~ *T~T*

I have a borders, Barnes&Nobles, + three off rack bookstore that have some srsly epic old books in there and still nothing... >*<
