@For-chan: Yup, writing a dissertation (well, a proposal for the dissertation right now) on music in Miyazaki's films. I'm really fascinated by music in anime, because there's not only the Western film tradition (think John Williams' music for Star Wars), but pop music from all over the world as well as traditional Japanese music going into these shows. Miyazaki's films are a really concise place to start, as they're a single corpus of work with a unifying director and a single composer, pretty much.

Oh yeah they are addicting. but after you've had your addiction you"ll eventually get sick of them! trust me I'm only eating them because I'm being lazy.

@Scholar - Yeah, I never actually finished watching the anime, love the soundtrack though XD Also, Samurai Champloo's soundtrack. It's like Cowboy Bebop's hip hop soul twin. I'm so sad that the composer died. ;_;

I know but it's just cool because usually the views is way higher than the replies.
