I'm easily distracted, by other threads and reading so... yeah, kinda slow to reply.

Seika - Yeah, unless I want to go work at Taco Bell or something. I hate doing work like that, though. I'm a year away from an English and writing degree, so why would I want to do that sort of work again? xD (No offense to anyone who does--I did for a long time while I was in HS. But enough's enough, lawlz.)

I swore to never work in a fast food joint.

I did in High School hold a job at the local anime store which was like a dream come true. Only... once I started working, I figured out how stressful it would be due to well disorganization really (can't believe how disorganized they were and still doing well). When they left me alone to do my job job and answer phones or directly dealing with the customers I really liked that job. The fact that I kinda got discount and saw the new stuff coming in left and right really was great.

I didn't really have a choice. xD I went from waitressing to KFC (ick) to a nursing home as a dietary aide (most depressing job EVAR). Then, when I started college, I got two work-study jobs: one as a personal assistant to an English professor, and the other as a writing tutor. I'm still tutoring, 3 1/2 years later. I'm ancient. xD

I haven't had work in a while. XP Last job was difficult, and unpleasant at times. Don't wanna go back.

Ah okay. I just started on an online course and it's confusing as hell plus I'm paranoid that I'll fail.

You'll be fine--just get all your assignments in on time! I like online courses--I have a hybrid one starting in the fall--because I don't actually have to GO anywhere to attend. xD

That's okay. xD At least you go out and try new things. Since that last job, I haven't really gotten to trying anything else.

I know that feeling. It's the whole reason why I ended up leaving the toy store one... no matter how much I liked it.

Yeah, I'm not being too harsh on myself--I was young, and there aren't many good jobs open. I wish I had an easier, less mentally-tasking job sometimes, but at the end of the day, being able to wear my own clothes, actually take breaks, and not smell like food is great!

Oh yes! And no more customers to deal with yeah? I give props to those who do customers service for a living.

@Golden Goose I was a door to door sales person, and I didn't have a car. The weather was warm. I didn't get paid if I didn't make sales.

Nope, just people who think they can write when they really, really suck. It can be interesting, though--I've proofread textbooks with chapters about gender roles in slasher films, "Cabaret," and Marxism...all good reading. xD Although for eight hours a day, it can get a little old. That's why I have my crappy little MP3 player!

I find music an excellent way to focus. Mostly because I stop hearing everything else around me. xD

Lol, yes. I haven't been using it lately, though, because I need to know how loudly I'm coughing and if it's annoying the others. xD

True mp3's are the best.

Aww. That's too bad. Once you get better you can listen to it all you like!
