House of night is a great series of books. Rather than traditional vampirism, they're actually wiccans. They still feed off of blood but they can't be changed by being bitten. they're actually chosen by this almighty "Goddess of the night"

I really liked the Anita Blake series but after book 13 it pretty much went down hill. I have yet to get through Skin Trade. I just can't be bothered.

I agree with you Jelly, She got to much into the sex after like the 9th book. It gets boring after awhile. I am still trying to read the Merry Gentry series though.
