@Mei - That's me. I took French for 6 years and was awful at it! And now that I haven't used it in years, it's like I don't know any. It's all gone.

I took Latin for a year, Mandarin Chinese for six months.

Hated both.

I took lots of French. I also took two semesters of Japanese. At least I sort of got a handle on the French. The Japanese was hard O_O Like...really really hard! French uses the same letters, Japanese needs three damn alphabets! x_X

@Fantasme - I really don't notice what the shed gives me. I don't pay much attention.

@Doomfishy - Yeah. The Japanese teacher explained how they HEAR things differently. Even if we are making one sound, to them, it sounds different, hence why they pronounce things the way they do. It's interesting, but just makes things harder. I have trouble distinguishing between Japanese and English words borrowed by Japanese. Like Radio. In Japanese they say Rajio. But if they say it really fast, it sounds like just another garbled Japanese word. x_X So difficult.
