@Seraphi: We live in a tiny apartment, the rent for which is a little over half our meager income, so there's sadly no way we can do that. The real problem is the white painted wall of the mini-mall we abutt, which reflects too much sunlight right into our front window, and we can't do anything about that. :(

My brat of a cat just scratched me! Grrr
