What's really sad is a species of frog.. I forgot their name, but they were golden and really pretty have gone extinct from a forest because the climate kept getting dryer and dryer as humans chopped and cleared parts of the forests. ;__;

Deja, well where I get them at, there are large separate puddles of water under trees and right beside a stream. In one puddle there are black ones and another fat golden ones and black ones with golden spots. It's pretty interesting.

Where I live there's only one kind I've ever found to raise...itty bitty tiny cute tree froggies :D So you are lucky :D Are the frogs growing up different sizes or anything?

Yay for bats!! Bats are cool...even though the places the live start smelling awful >.< My family went to Puerto Rico last month and we went hiking in a cave that had bats in part of it...the guano is NASTY. The bats were neat though :)

Deja, oh yeah. Definitely different sizes. I'm pretty sure that I have a species of tree frog.. I think the black ones with golden spots are tree frogs. I am hoping for some bull frog, those can get huge. <3

A bullfrog would be cool :D XD, where I live they have a bullfrog jumping contest at our county fair every year, it's pretty cool. We caught one in my grandpa's pond once and jumped it...and of course let it go afterward XD

Around here.. so many people go frog digging. it's really sad because they kill them for the fun of it. Some will eat them, others just do it because they get a kick out of it.

@ Velvet Lol! Not very high actually...we put them down and let them jump 3 times, and the one that jumps the furthest wins XD. I think the record for it is like 23 feet? I never got one to jump more than like, 7 though XD. And, yeah it's fun :)

Everybody gathers around at sunset in Austin to watch the bats fly out from under the Congress Street bridge.

We took my cousin there once, and went for what we thought would be a GREAT view...where they would fly out directly over us.

So out they came, and it was wonderful....until we realized that it wasn't rain that we were feeling on our faces...
