I TRIED Gaia years ago at different points in life...never caught on for me. Came on to Mene a few months ago and have been here nearly every day. Actually fun...haha, did NOT find anything about the mindlessness of Gaia fun.

I use to be pretty addicted, only because I had my successful graphics shop, and I really want to go into graphic design. ._.

I'm still debating on whether I should start a graphics shop on Mene. >_< I don't think it will be nearly as successful as it was on Gaia.

I want to start an art shop...but I do traditional art so I would need to get a scanner first. We'll see how that goes. I make some good illustrations. :D

The maturity level here overall seems higher. And it isn't just limited to a specific forum (in other words, for ages I was scared to go outside of Extended Discussion and even then trolls would still find their way in, and they had to draw the line between trolling and legitimate satire).

I usually just hung out in the Gaia Community Discussion forum. There were rarely any trolls there. Sometimes I'd go into the Chatterbox and see if there was anything there legitimately funny.

I usually stick to the art forums in Gaia- I have a B/C shop I just cant abandon.

-Cracks knuckles- I have to have done at least 300 sabotage jobs on the other team by now -mischevious grin- I knew this was the job for me.

I can't abandon my gaia accounts because they're worth a few million between the two of them, but with all their insane "rich get richer poor get poorer" schemes, that doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to. Still, I have an angelic pendant and golden laurels and I'll be damned before I give them to any chattering newbie, in fact I would only give them to someone I respect more than myself.

Crow; Yeah.. I have a DTail on Gaia, but even if I do completely abandon Gaia one day, I dont think I'd give it to away.. Maybe I'd come back one day. xD

yea i am on gaia also i left because it was a bunch of newbies. I won't give up my account because i have a lot of mc an ei's on it which i worked to hard for to lose them lol

Its kinda sad that Gaia has such an allure that we cant just leave it completely. ^^;

I'm so "old" on Gaia I still call them "Donation Letters" because they used to be true donations because they used to be not-for-profit, now they're all about cramming commercialism down our throats.

And the introduction of cash-only shops is a horrible horrible idea, especially since the people with the 'rich' fishtanks will get more people playing it and will get more money in turn... it's all set up so only the 'rich' who pay real money will get richer all the while being advertised to.

Our DONATIONS to Menewsha just keep the site going and keep it advertisement-free.

I spend 98-99% of my avatar site time on Menewsha, 1--2% on Gaia.

lol i agree with you i remember joining it when it first started then i had to start all over because my account got deleted.

I don't get on Gaia anymore but i still have all my things and account on it. I spend most of my time up here on Mene because everyone is so nice and it is way better then Gaia.

Crow; Yep.. The only reason I have anything on that site now is because of my old items gained value, and I still do some art comishs. I cant afford to shell out 10$ for an item on there.. Its ridiculous.

I have seen Gaia take so many 'wrong turns' that it is not funny. I truly hope that Menewsha does NOT follow that path... (of selling out, etc).
