At any anime convention (and to a lesser degree gaming and comic conventions) you always run the risk of random hugs and glomps when you're in cosplay. This I know from first hand experience.

However, the worst of all is furry conventions. This, thankfully, I do NOT know from fiirst hand experience, only tales of those who have managed to survive.

Crow; Aye, I know this only too well myself. The anime con, not the furry con. I had one cosplayer acquaintance rant to me a bit about one person who broke part of her costume from a hug.

This is also part of the reason I'm terrified about actually wearing my costume to my next con; The biggest bit is gonna be the most fragile, and because of the character I'm likely to get a lot of hugs. D:
