Yeah. My mom hated people touching her tummy too.
People can be so weird. I never had any interest in pregnant people, especially if I did not know them.

I know. :gonk: I worked at a truck stop during my first pregnancy. Some guy tried to reach over the counter to touch my belly. I stepped as far back as I could, gave him a death glare, and asked someone else to ring him up. XD
