@Ai -- Not to be depressing or anything, but usually platelets go to help cancer patients, to help their blood clot after chemo. And since I lost two friends to leukemia, a grandfather to bone cancer, a teacher to breast cancer, and one of my grandmas is currently battling breast cancer, it's kind of a soft spot for me.

I need to try and donate again. I used to be anemic, so they wouldn't take me, but I don't think I am anymore...

@Fin -- I'm pretty sure the place I donate blood at also does the bone marrow thing. I just get rushed in every time I get there, and by the time I leave, I'm too woozy to think about it. XD
