Well, I do have a real risk since I'm a clarinetist, and I've already injured both of my wrists. I'm supposed to practice clarinet at least two hours a day, and that can mean that my wrists have a lot of strain put on them already. Pile on that my internet and writing addictions, and it can get hairy.

@Fantasia: I have a friend who's a cellist, and I'm pretty sure that she also has arthritis, or at least the beginnings of it.

I'm a music major so I know that risk all too well....luckily my primary instrument is my voice but I know a couple musicians who have gotten carpal tunnel.

I can not get carpil tunnel because my instrument is my vocal cords! lol but i can strain them....i have done that before....NOT FUN! NOT FUN AT ALL! lol especailly cuz i had a performace the next day........hahahaha but we still came out as number one!
