Epic. All I can play is piano, flute (and it's deafening friend the piccolo), and harp.

@Fidelis: "All"? That's quite a lot. I'm very jealous of people who can make sense of the piano; my two hands never want to work the right way on it.

Piano is so flexible an instrument -- so useful to know at least a bit of how to play.

Wow! That's quite a range!
We have five unique "children" right now (and by children, I mean cats). Two of them we're trying to find homes for. One was a stray that we found on our way home. She's very loving. I named her Sprinkler. ^^

@Urbeth: I hope the name isn't a comment on her elimination habits. XD That's so great that you can take in homeless cats. There's a local feral cat that I wish we could help, but with 3 already in a 400-square-foot apartment, we can't make that work. It's cramped with two people, 3 cats, and several hundred books.

Haha, Piano is useful because it let's you understand both treble and bass clef. Luckily I've never run into double-bass or double-treble. And I say all because a lot of people I know can play it.
Any Renaissance scholars out there? >< I've been compared to one for playing harp, fencing, drawing, and knowing astronomy and philosophy. Can't say I took French though.

@Fidelis: Ah, a well-rounded scholar! Good for you! Yes, you would indeed be considered an 'accomplished' person in the era, I believe, though I'm nowhere near a specialist.
Regarding clefs, I've never heard of double-bass or double-treble clefs. What do they look like? (I can usually fuddle my way around any clef once I get oriented and have a few minutes with it.)

Sprinkler named as such because she drools when you pet or scratch her, then proceeds to shake her head, flinging the drool in all directions.

Wow! Sounds like last summer! Four cats in a one bedroom apartment with a tiny kitchen! I hated bringing groceries home!
I'll get some photos. Just a sec!
