I was gonna be a clarinet but jessus freakin christ, we have like 14 of them.
Next year I might play the trombone since we only have two. xP..
Or flute because theres only three...

I sort of miss playing my 'cello. Eventually I'll pick it back up... maybe.

i love how the cello sounds so haunting... it just might be my favorite... although i never played one... i played some violin back in grade school though

Linn, my mom did not want me to play the violin. I mean, she'd have let me if I'd fallen in love with it when we prospective orchestra students got to try out the instruments, but... Well, luckily, I fell in love with the cello. :) It worked out pretty well!

Kitteh dislikes her mum, my mum never made me do much of anything. We played sports a bit when we were younger, but she never liked, worked with me outside of school or anything...

i think if you can play the violin all cajun and blue grassy and make it rip, that'd be so much fun... but still, the cello is pretty nice... when did you start playing?

yea, i played sports every year from third grade up... my mom was supportive of sports... but weirdly enough, not music (and i mean supportive because i wanted to play, she didn't make me do anything, but i am going to make my kids do stuff too, kitteh)

My mum was very uninvolved in my life. Which is why when I was 12, I was off running the roads, making friends I shouldn't have, going to parties, etc etc.

The whole music thing with me is because it is far more than music. I don't plan on my child making a career of it, but sheet music and beats and rhythm help with math skills, music is cultural, etc etc.

Linn, I played from about the middle of fifth grade, through high school. And a little beyond. Haven't so much as opened the case in years, though. And I do love listening to people who can rock the violin. It's listening to amateurs practice the violin that can be painful.
