My 4 year old Grandson, Floyd in Alaska...I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, and he said "I wanna be a policeman, a fireman, and an ice cream man!"

Aw that's cute :D When I was 4, I wanted to be a carrot because I thought it might be an interesting experience.

An older student was interviewing me for the school magazine and she said I could be "anything I wanted to be" when I grew up, so I was like huh, why not :P

When she explained that I had to be some sort of *person* I opted for truck-driver instead.

Floyd thought that ice cream man would be great because he could eat all the ice cream he wanted. I told him that then he wouldn't be able to sell any and make money if he ate it all.
He failed to see the problem with that...

I don't know if I really understood the concept of being anything different when I 'grew up' than I was just then, so I thought I had to change who I was. I think I subsequently went through horse, farmer, detective, teacher, journalist, animator and now I'd settle for happy, I think, which I am :)

Hm, that's a smart kid.. it's like owning a bookstore - you'd get to read all your books. Plus, if his icecream was good enough, he could make enough profit off of it that he'd get to eat some on the side too ;)
