I was introduced to anime by Sailormoon. I watched a number of old anime series before then but wasn't aware there was a distinction between anime and american cartoon.

I wasn't either, until Yugioh.

well, I checked out the weird dreams thread, and I made an intro post. And the first anime I watched, before I knew it was an anime, would have to be either pokemon or DBZ, I'm not sure which one I saw first.

I reckon the first anime I watched ever was Astro Boy, the original. Course I was very young at the time.

I miss Sailor Moon...

Sailor Moon was funny in a 'that's silly and repetitive' way but after watching what was aired on tv twice I had enough of it. :D But it is a classic.

my first ever anime that i watched was old... Tekkaman Blade or Teknoman, depending on which one was shown where. the final few episodes were epic, but it got quite repetitive after a while in the middle. Still, was good stuff!
