But I sleep during the day, usually.
Mainly between 6am and 3pm.
Everything interesting happens at night, and nothing interesting happens before 6-7.
So it works.

That said, there's a retarded dog downstairs in my living room.
I'm scared of/hate dogs, and my roommate decided to bring one home for the weekend. :D

So, needless to say I'm not happy, but I wouldn't be quite this pissed (or quite this tired).
If the thing would stop howling and I could sleep.
I had enough trouble FALLING asleep this morning, I didn't need to be woken the fzark up.

The poor dog is upset that he is being left alone.

It's not a poor dog. I can't even get to my kitchen to sit and eat food because it starts barking at me and I have to leave or I'll start bugging out.

I'm straight up SCARED of dogs.
It's not my fault or responsibility to take care of the thing, it's hers.
She should be here to take care of it, and not out hanging out with friends or whatever she's doing.

<-- Cat person. I have four. In the past I've tried having a dog in the family but the energy and emotional involvement required to keep the dog happy was really more than I had to spare. I like that if I need or want to leave for a weekend all I have to do is thoroughly clean the litter boxes and leave enough food and water out for the cats.

Haha I don'treally need to be anyone's master; dogs are social animals, though, and it is easier to know when they are feeling bonded with you and whatnot. I love cats too, though, I mean, don't get me wrong. My family has two dogs and a cat. I love them all.

I think my cats are very affectionate and it's easy to tell when they like someone but only one of them is very discriminate in her affections. The second to youngest is very shy and timid and therefore spends most of the day hiding. It takes her months to warm up to a new person.

Yeah our cat is always hiding, lol. But I mean, I like cats and all it is just harder (for me) to relate to them. *shrugs* It's hard for me to say that one kind of animal is better than another. It just doesn't seem right.

I don't think cats are better than dogs but rather that I relate to them better and that they're the better choice of pet for me (and my family) - which is the point I believe you're trying to make.

I don't think I could choose one species of animal over another. They all have their pros and cons and are all required to make the world function.

I know you weren't saying that, but sometimes it does seem that people do.

Oh, I agree. It happens all the time. The cat vs. dog debate is normally people arguing over which pet is "better" instead of "better suited to them."
