I defend myself by carrying a knife with me at all times.

I bought it years ago, and it was a butterfly knife. I never actually got to look at it. o-o; Knives scare me, though I could definitely use some pepper spray. xD

I'm learning Self-Defense too :P i don't need to carry a weapon or anything that would be well illegal where i live
and yes i get tons of bruises and ache like nothing i have every felt but its sooo worth it

You just have to know how to respect the knife and it won't hurt you.

Yeah, see, that would work, but I don't trust myself with a knife. xD;; I would either trip and somehow kill myself, or I would have it with me inevitably when I get struck with sudden depression and have the overpowering urge to cut open my arms and legs and stomach. That's... not something I wanna put myself near again.

You could buy a knife sharpener pretty cheap, ya know. I saw a really nice kind at Ikea last time I was there for only seven bucks!

it illegal to carry a concealed weapon of any sort where i live, same with human pepper spray so learning self-defense is pretty much my only option
