I enjoy looking at artist renditions of steam punk stuff. I love the clockwork wings and random time machine things people come up with. It's so intricate and just awesome. xD

chainmaille = chainmail... medieval armor type stuff. My kids are just finishing up a unit on Knights and Castles and I thought it would be neat for them to see how the armor (someof it, anyway) was made... but I need to figure it out first, before I let them try it! ;)

yea, it's armour made of metal jump rings woven together in different patterns. I make jewelry using the technique - mostly bracelets and some necklaces and earrings - eventually I will make a coif and hauberk tho ;) (hat and shirt)

That is so cool Blaze! I think your kids will enjoy that... making learning fun is awesome. :) My 3 year old just started school last month and he loves it sooooo much. Dosen't talk much about it, but he answers your questions and shows you his art work from that day proudly. :)
