I can't help but wonder why this thread has been a food fight thread for at least the last ten pages?

When I was in Japan and we had Ramen for lunch, one person ordered shark fin soup. I feel so bad for those sharks that get thrown back just to sllooowwwlllyyy die.

Cause food is a great topic starter.

We just banned the sale and buying of shark fin here

Sharks shouldn't be eatten for personal enjoyment, anyway, period.

Its one of those human stupidity things. I mean, its fine for all the animals killed before when we were primitive. But theres no reason to kill squids, jellyfish, pufferfish, sharks, quall, and those other "cuisines."

Ppl are killing more animals than they need to. We're fine the way we are. xD;

As for supper, I sliced a beef roast into thin pieces and put them on skewers for the grill, made glazed carrots, green bean casserole, and a homemade sauce to glaze the meat with (based in a BBQ sorta stuff, but not BBQ, lol). We also had corn and hot dogs to go on the grill, opened a can of beans, and made baked potatoes. Did I miss anything? LOL! Oh yeah, made pickled beets. That should be all, lol

@ Seito: Glad to hear about that! I'm all for shark fin banning. There is NO justification for how that trade was carried out. Humans of today have a tendency to be incredibly wasteful, and the shark fin fiasco is a representation of that. >_<

@ Miro: Oh, I saw that about pork! You wouldn't make it in my town... my town... and really the state thrive on their pork BBQ. We have WELL over 11 BBQ restaurants here in my town, and pretty much what you'll get if you go in their looking for BBQ is pork style. Vinegar based, as a matter of fact, lol. I grew up eating the stuff, so I fairly love it, but I know plenty of people who can't stand it. =grins=

xD haha bacon is the one thing I can't stand! I haven't the clue why. I can't eat pork straight up. It has to be like hidden in a dumping or something.
