Indeed! I love to travel and I've been on some fun trips with my parents. It's not a gazillion times a year like it is with some families, but we do fairly well.

6am London time when I arrived. I got up at 5am my time but all together the traveling time was quite long. The flight alone is a good 7.5 hours.

I'm going to be flying into London to see my Significant Other in about 3-4 weeks. It's an ELEVEN hour plane flight from where I am. Do any of you happen to know where Brentwood is?

Good for you! I hope you enjoy it. I don't know where that is, but I would guess mid to west USA?

Brentwood is in Essex, England, it's "Just Outside of London", about a 2 ish hour drive... it would be less if it was a straight line but I google mappedit and you have to go in the opposite direction then along the circumfrence of a circle!

It's pretty annoying, especially if one of us is sick and needs love, or another one of us is starving and in too much pain to go to the grocery store... -_-; But we do the best we can.

Ahhh I thought it was where you were from, not where you were going. Ay least the UK is a relatively small country (this coming from someone who lives in the southwest USA...)

Those really help you out more than Google. xD And it shows you the shortcuts and fastest routes to get.

The one my mom bought for us was just 100$ something from Sams club when it was on sale.

Miro- No, I don't own a separate GPS, I just have to rely on what the interwebs tells me... because of course the nets NEVER EVER lie!

Ahh yeah I wouldn't want to live in DC. I've been to NY, Connecticut, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Washington state. I'll just ignore the states I've only been in for a few minutes.

Yeah long flight is looooong! The one back will be longer though because it's direct to denver instead of chicago. I just watch movies (2 hours at a pop, takes up a lot of time) or sleep.

On the subject of gps, the iphone (or blackberry etc.) maps do reasonably well.
