Yeah your arts are very nice! And at least you're offering color, busts are always good plus it allows you to do more detail in the face etc.. than I would be able to do with my full body anyway simply because its on a smaller scale

Thats sooo true, Aphrodite! Dx I nearly never draw the same thing if I mess up, so it means very hard trying to NOT mess up. And when I work with ink, there is always the risk of someone toppling the ink bottle, like my cat... With digital arts, no one can really mess up anywhing, as long as you save often, and it doesnt require lot of space on table and no one can just put their dirty paw on the paper. Dx

I like to work with black markers, too. C:

lololol!!

I use that one as well sometimes, if I'm stuck on something. I have one of those dolls that you can pose and it holds it so you can draw it like that. That's how I started with my poses.

But I do prefer that site because you can see how the muscle and everything would go so it does help out a lot more.

@ Rain - OMG last time I was inking a picture 12 x 20 for a friend for her bday and my nephew runs up and latches onto my leg, effectively making me run the paint brush full of ink down the middle of the page... took me 4 hours to draw what I was going to paint on there, all down teh drain. I was so frustrated lol.

PIIIICS OF UR ARTS PLLEEEZE!! lol

luckily bust shots mean i don't need references at all

i use very little ink.. i have black and blue and i have experimented a little bit.. same with watercolours

Yeah, I was thinking of practicing the bust or even headshots, but then I got lazy..

Which happens all the time >.< I'm very "set in my ways" But sometimes I go crazy and just start doing random things. I especially like when people mix surreal/abstract with art nouveau/pre raphaelite styles together.

Nice! I have some colored arcrylic inks, but haven't used them much

Bah! Thats so horrible. D: Makes you lose all the will to redraw it. Dx

Tulips
I dont think I am an artist, though, no one has really taught me how to draw, so I sometimes smear paper some, but yeah. x3

----------

As a note, I dont draw people. I jsut dont. XD I dont think I can do it. Animals alone are hard to do, so I just stick to flowers and such things. C: I like drawing flowers. C:

Those are pretty!

I dunno "artist" is such a loose term, I like to think of it as someone who creates, instead of someone who is exceedingly skilled in the mainstream or who has talents others covet.

People took me forever to draw lol, trust me it was a labor, and not of love at all.

Do you use pens or have u tried "loose" ink, like india ink with a quill/paint brushes?

Thank yoou. <3

Yeah, maybe. x3 Well, its a nice way to kill time sometimes, so I do it. C: I dont show it all around that much, especially since I dont have scanner at home, but recently, I had the chance to scan, so I thought I would do that. x3

"Loose" Indian ink, with quill. C: Thats how I "met" ink, and I have stuck to that.

----------

I havent gone to art school. XD WHat they sometimes teach in class and otherwise on my own.

Hey Clair how are you?

@ Alexa - Hmm I never went to art school but I did take art in Highschool as an elective lol, I do it for fun, its a hobby, but I'm thinking of going into graphic design etc.. so I might actually be able to apply it in a way that allows me to get paid lol

OooooooOoO That sounds fun >.<

@ Rain - lolol I just like calling it loose hahahaha -ahem- Yeah totally its way better that way, I use pens for outlining and what not if Im' not using good quality paper or need to be quick about it but otherwise, its el quillo for me

Yay, for quill users! *high fives* C:
Gogogo traditional art. <3
I just think that digital and traditional arts simply cannot replace each other, therefor, it is sad that some people start to forget about traditional one.
I have to go off now, though. C: See you later. <3

@ Alexa - Ahh yeah when my friend was majoring in arts at uni she had to take a bunch of different classes that she had no desire to take, such as scultping. Its hard stuff. But art history sounds fun >.<

@ Rain - hi 5's - lolol yeah true enough, but digi art is still kinda "new and exciting" and traditional art has been around since - cavement paint on walls- lol. Byes <333

@ Clair - Absolutely lol

back! went and got a bite to eat! ^_^

@ Alexagirlie: O.M.G.... how did I NOT know about that site! O_O =burns the URL into her memory, as well as bookmarking it=

I use really cheap materials when I can haggle it. Like, the only reason I even had Prismacolor Markers in my collection is because a local store was getting rid of their art supplies section and had everything drastically marked down. As in. $1 a piece markers. O____O You'd better believe I nearly bought them out of what they had left! Sharpies, Microns, gel pens... I also use Crayola markers for really cool effects. Generally I will mix the media up for any one piece, so colored pencils and paints will end up in there somewhere.

I had to switch mostly to CG though because many of my Prisma markers dried up and its.. well... cheaper in the long run.. =sniff=

@ sadrain: That tulip piece is awesome lovely! Don't ever feel that you're not and "artist" or "talented" because those are such subjective terms. >_> aphrodite is absolutely correct in what she said. Artists such as Mondrian, Miro, and Kadinsky probably couldn't draw an anatomical figure to save their lives, but they're celebrated artists.

Or how about Henri Rousseau, who really couldn't get his perspectives/dimensions correct and is celebrated due to his interpretations, lol!

$1 a piece O_O_O LUCKY! I've never seen them around here for anything but about 3 - 4 bucks a piece. And I'm sorry that's just tooo much for me right now.

Ah yeah I mix media a lot if I'm using colors. A friend of mine loved mixing acrylic and pencil crayons.. she'd get some really great effects.
