For laptops, get a Toshiba or an HP. for Desktops, get an HP. :D That is the best advice I can give you, Lunar.

Hm... If I had to pick another laptop brand, I would go with the HP Family of Laptops. :D To bad Toshiba doesn't make Desktops, or I would buy their desktops. Oh well, gotta stick to HP. ;) Desktop wise that is...

If you must have a PC, follow Lizzy's advice. P: HPs are the best PCs... even though my sister's HP laptop just died for no reason and won't work now. *rolls eyes*

If you don't care about downloaded games, I say get a Mac (even though you can use bootcamp and run Windows anyways). They are more expensive upfront, but in the long run they are cheaper than PCs because the chance of you needing to get your Mac fixed is slim to none and updating your OS costs $30 instead of $200! It's easy to use and there are SO many programs compatible with Macs now-a-days. Not only that but you can also run Windows on your Mac if you really need to!

Toshiba's are cool. :D Just take good care of them, that way you don't have to call Tech support. XD! Be sure to get the warranty, even though it doesn't do much good. :P
