Shadow nodded, smiling in return. "You are welcome. At least let me help you get fire-starting materials. I'll place them outside, so you can take her out first."

" I have some of the wood that is needed already gathered by the pool if you don't mind getting it for me?" looking around he found some of the old sheets that he had had plans for but had not used yet. "I will prepare her body if you don't mind."

Shadow nodded, and stood up. Since it wasn't a long walk and Angelo needed time to prepare her, he decided to walk out to the pool. He did so slowly, giving him enough time to get everything set up.

quickly going out to the garden Angelo pick a bunch of the herb that he had found that burned with a sweet smell. his fingers acted of their own accord as he did what his sister had asked of him before her death. he would not cry for her, not yet. they had said their good byes in their own way. even now as he moved in the proper way that was tradition things she had given him filled his mind. he had mounts to years of information that she had given him to sort through. her Legacy was one that would live on for longer then she ever could have. walking back in he gently lay her on the sheet on the floor and bathed her with the Herb water mix he had made. nothing would be left on her but what was in the water and what she came into this world with. he would have to find a flute to play her to her rest, he wondered if he would still remember every note to the song.

Shadow gathered up as much as he could in his arms and then used some of his powers to help lift the rest--enough to make sure she burned completely, as requested. He returned to the house a moment later and, in the field in front of it, began to set up the area for Angelo.

coming out carrying his sister Angelo stopped. "um Shadow, do you think you could move it up to the crest of the hill there? I think it would be the better spot for this." shifting her weight he picked up a small bag that he had kept with him for a while. when shadow had asked what it was one time he had said that it was for protection.

"In a moment." Shadow finished setting everything up, and then stood up and swung his wrist around. The entire site lifted up, fully set up. He walked it over to the hill and set it down on a semi-flat area, intact. "There you are. Flatter ground is better to set it up, first. Do you want me to head inside?"

setting his sister on the wood he sighed. "I need a flute if you have one." he blinked back some tears, as he placed the last of the herbs and the bag in the wood itself.

"I don't have one, but..." Shadow closed his eyes, placing his arms behind his back. He pulled them back in front of him a moment later with a fine, new flute. "There you are. Urgh..." He rubbed his back slightly. "Spawning new items always gives me back pain. I don't understand it--I must be weird."

" thank you Shadow. if you would be willing to light the fire when I start to play that would be nice." one day he would be able to do that too, one day. he thought as he set the flute to his lips and readied to play.

Shadow leaned down and used traditional methods, as well as a bit of magic to get everything ready, to start the fire. He stood up and watched, quietly.

nodding Angelo started up a slow wobbling tune that slowly became more steady. Shadow could almost see Angelo's sister going from a baby up to the point she died as he played. the smell of what he had put in the fire only added to the spell that he was casting without knowing it. her life would be remembered by both of them, even thought Shadow had not bee there for it

Shadow remained silent. It seemed that Angelo knew how to cast some spells already...and just didn't know he was doing it, or how to control a lot of them. He was pleased to discover this--it would be easier to teach him.

as he came to the end of the song he let the flute fall to the ground as he crumpled crying. he had loved her so much and to now know that she was dead, not just having a feeling but to know it. there was a pop as the fire reached the treat he had made for all of them to share. he could not think or even eat it now that she was not there to have it.

Shadow knelt down and gently wrapped his arms around him. He hadn't cried like this in a long time. "Let it all out...you'll feel a little better...she is in a better place, now, and she was happy in her final moments..."

wrapping his arms around Shadow he let it out. he know that shadow understood why he cried and did not feel that he needed to explain it. all he needed to do now was to cry, shadow would care for him.

Shadow held him, rubbing small circles along his back to help soothe him. He felt sad, as well, but he rarely, if ever, cried. He rocked Angelo back and forth slightly.

~inside please~ Angelo said without realizing that he was speaking by mind. he just wanted to go in and lay down and just have a good cry on Shadows shoulder.

Shadow was a bit surprised that he spoke mentally, but he nodded and lifted him up, gently. He then carried him back inside, to his room, and sat with him on the bed, setting him in his lap.

leaning back he forced shadow to ether lay him down or lay down with him.

Shadow easily allowed him to pull him down, gently. He laid next to him, wrapping his arms around him gently.

pulling Shadows arms around him tight Angelo sighed and let the tears come faster. he clung tightly to Shadow as he buried his face back into Shadows clothes. it was not long before he was asleep and within his mind a dream started. Angelo and his sister were standing in a field. she was saying something to Angelo but even if Shadow tried to figure out what they were saying he would not know

Shadow was curious, but he respected their privacy. He held Angelo close, closing his eyes, as well. He didn't sleep, but he rested, regaining his strength. He was glad that Angelo was not afraid of his touch...he'd worried that he might be...

as they spoke the deep sense of loss and mourning slowly faded from Angelo. he still was sad at her passing and would be for some time but the deep grief would not over power him that he would not be able to go on. finely the dream came to a close with her fading and Angelo walking back to a ring of tents.

Shadow watched the dream as it close. It seemed like a relaxing dream for Angelo...and he sure hoped the rest of his dreams remained that way. It was nice to watch. He gently ran a hand up and down his side, in a soothing motion, as he continued to peek in on his mind.
