AW! But what if we like being mean!

Welcome! Hmm, now I'm trying to decide which part of your name to call you by, lol. Do you prefer the full first part, or are you expecting it to be shortened down? Does it mean anything? You'll probably tell me now that it's some hugely well-known anime character, that I've never heard of xD

I'm entirely ignorant about J-pop and so on, so tell me anything you like!

One of the things that's good about joining a smaller site is that you have far more chance of snagging the names that you want! lol, one of the many benefits :) You're dressed already! You're doing well!

My knowledge of the person and the group is quite extensive, so I love specifics~ But since you're ignorant to J-Pop, I'd have to take a few steps back on the explanation. XD

Well, there's an agency in Japan called "Johnny's & Associates". It's an entertainment agency, so they don't only carry music artists.

Anyway, the boss, Kitagawa Johnny gathers young and talented boys and creates groups with them. They are called "Juniors" until they debut. Once they are grouped, the usually background dance for the currently popular bands of the agency until they've built a fanbase for them to officially debut as a group.

KAT-TUN is one of those groups. It consists of six young men between the ages of 24 and 26 ( until a couple of the group members have birthdays later this year ). The group's name is an acronym for the family name of the group members.- keep in mind, in Japan, family name comes first and given name second; middle names don't exist. The members are: Kamenashi Kazuya ( recognize that name? 8D ), Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya, and Nakamaru Yuichi.

Their music covers the genre spectrum from pop to rock and even RnB. They also have a rapper in the group ( READ: Tanaka Koki ) and from what I've heard of American rap, old and new, he's actually pretty good.

...I think that's about it for the group. >.> I know a lot more, but I'd be here for hours typing out everything I knew about this group.

Lol, well you'd earn yourself plenty of gold doing that xD

So J-pop is basically the Japanese version of manufactured boy bands in the US and UK?

Pretty much so, yeah~ I like is because: one, it's Japanese; two, I kinda like pop, but some of the music put out in the US has been degraded horribly; and three, most of the bands aren't strictly pop. They can cover pop, rock, RnB, and even rap. And I like that variety.

When I first saw your name I actually did think of Kamenashi from KAT-TUN. Cool, I haven't listened to them in a while but I liked listening to them before, now...I think I've been listening to Hey! Say! JUMP more. truthfully I think I've been listening to korean artists like DBSK and stuff but their japanese albums so I guess...Tohoshinki was it?
