Three OC's, but I need a couple different faces for each of them. I don't know if you're familiar with LJ-RPs, but I need a set of icons for each of them. At least mad/sad/glad/shockedwtf for each of them, but I'd liiiike it if you'd do more. If you're willing but just want more, I can see what other CI's and EI's I have floating around.

Otherwise...I'm not doing too well, actually. *pokes signature* I've got....well, a long and drawn out tale of (medical) woe, so I try to remind myself not to soapbox.

Most of them could simply be the same position with different expressions, though if you'd do more than those couple of poses I mentioned, Theta in particular needs one for "laboratory explosion" (hooray for the mad scientist types) that probably needs her to be recoiled a bit, along with messed up hair and glasses askew. Like I said, if you're willing but want paid more, I'm all right with that.

Hehe, well, there are a lot of items I don't have, seeing as I just joined last month, but there are some I thought I might like and end up using and threw them up on that wishlist, heh.

Also, and this feels a bit cheeky of me. I know we're just discussing and whatnot, but could I have that other slot you have? I'm going to have to go to bed soon by virtue of living in England and the fact that it's really late here. I don't want us to be mid-discussion about pricing and payments and such and have someone else snitch it. ^^; :heart:

My three OC's for you to draw are:

Theta Buckley
Settled on the top of her bobbed blonde hair is a top hat made from leather and riveted together. Strange brass glasses that have swinging magnifiers on levers cover her green eyes, though usually she keeps all of the magnifiers flipped away from her face to leave just the regular lenses over her eyes. She wears a simple latte coloured blouse, but over it are a heavy leather corset and heavy brass armour plates on her arms. She also has a cheerily coloured green cravat tied neatly around her neck. Several belts cross round her hips, and from one of them hangs a fancy looking gold pocket watch. Her pants have a very unusual cut to them, puffing out around the knees before tucking back in to her tall buckled boots. Clasped tightly in her left hand is a cane, and she leans heavily on it as she walks.

I think you'll notice that, minus the headwings, this looks like my current avatar. That's intentional. :P The cane is in her left hand, though, and her left knee is chunky--her pants are hiding a prosthetic knee that isn't as slender as a normal one (it's a big box with pistons and the like, hiding under the fabric).

Leiko
Leiko's hair cascades down in a monochrome array of various shades of gunmetal grey and streaks of silver. It hangs down to level with her obi, accented by her face framing bangs. Hidden underneath them is a mark in deep red--a five pointed star. Two stripes grace her cheeks in the same shade. Her eyes bear the epicanthal fold that suggest Asian descent, despite the entirely unnatural shade of yellow her irises hold. In her mouth, her canines are slightly elongated, bearing an almost vampiric point. Her ears are also long and pointed, but still humanoid. Her face is kitsune-gao, which means she has a narrow face with close-set eyes, thin eyebrows, and high cheekbones.
She wears a vividly coloured jūnihitoe, or noblewoman's kimono. It is multi-layered and exquisite, embroidered and brocaded with patterns of cherry blossoms. The outermost layer is a vibrant shade of red, accenting the markings on her face. The obi she wears is the heavy maru obi, with zentsuu style patterning. The bulk of it is a vibrant cobalt, detailed with hana-guruma style flowers--colourful and beautiful.
Poking out from beneath the ornate belt are two tails that elegantly sway behind her. Unless she is trying to keep them discreet, at which point she twines them about her obi. They are the same gunmetal grey as her hair, with a white tip and various tufts of silver, white, and black accenting them in nature's own camoflage pattern. Her hands are soft and uncalloused, with slightly elongated nails that form sharp claws characteristic of some types of youkai. The claws on her right hand bear a wear pattern, smooth and shiny indents in the claws suggestive of having dipped her hand into a bowl of smooth stones repeatedly each day, every day. It is hard to judge her body type through the many layers of her kimono, but her hands are delicate and her face is lean, suggesting that the woman within the silk is rather thin, if not somewhat toned.

Rebecca Harcourt
Becca is a strikingly normal fifteen year old girl. She has long black hair, usually clipped out of her face with two black barettes. Her only notable features are her eyes and the glasses that hide them--striking deep blue hidden behind incredibly thick lenses. She is very nearsighted and it shows just looking at how thick her glasses are. She wears a Japanese style school uniform with trousers, and keeps them safety-pinned tightly to her legs. Safety pins and masking tape make a large 'X' across the back of her jumper, and her hands have had black X's drawn across the backs of them in marker. The uniform's colours are red and black, and the pants are red and black tartan.

I need a 'portrait' shot of each of them, as well as 100pxX100px icons for several different expressions for them, as I said before, at least mad, sad, glad, shockedwtf, though if you'd also do embarrassed, sneaky, and for Theta 'lab explosion' and also 'drunk' and 'cosplaying as a pirate', and for Leiko 'using magic/lighting things on fire' and 'mid-transforming into a fox', and for Becca 'fainting' and 'looking into the future' (maybe with hair ruffling in the wind and her eyes wide or something? You've got artistic license), that would be -great-.

I have a bad habit of underpricing myself, lol, but prices here at Mene aren't that high, so the raven head and ankle wings should be all right. If it all ends up being a little more difficult than I was expecting, then I'll let you know. But I like to try and keep to what I originally agree to.

Especially after I had a bad incident where someone commissioned me for 8 3/4ths body pieces in traditional style (ink and markers), I under priced myself, worked my butt off for months amidst health problems, and right before I was about to be finished with them, she sent me a pm telling me that since the item had appreciated so greatly in value, she would only offer me the gold value of what the item was back when she first commissioned me or cancel the trade. She also informed me that my art hadn't been worth the item itself at the time anyway. The trade got cancelled and that was that. I didn't do any commissions for a loooong time after that, lol! In fact, I'm trying to come back with baby steps. @[email protected]

So, yeah, once I agree to something, I try to stick by it, lol. I'll wait until I've got the basic drawings going and see how the expression work goes on them and then let you know if we need to come to an agreement for the extra expressions. If that sounds all right!

I'll admit, if it comes out to be appreciably more than the raven set, I'll have to ask you to pause on it, but that's so I can make sure I have enough to pay you, not because I think it's not worth it. We'll see what I've got in my duplicates drawer when the time comes, though. :P

Your plan for how to handle it sounds fine. :3 That way we -both- know where we stand as you keep working on it.

If it'll help you design them a bit more easily, maybe I could ask you for 3/4 body sketches of the three of them and pay you for that before you launch into the big massive commission?
