Che. I hate it when people cancel on me. Especially if it's late night stuff. *wandered the upscale neighborhoods at 2am*

Oh really o 3o
Most my friends.. nah, most everyone I know is like that, family included.
"Hey, wanna do ___ later?"
"Sure."
Then I'll return to them all ready and the response will be something along the lines of, "Nah, never mind, I'm busy/tired/changed my mind/etc."
I should probably be used to it by now.

Meh. I usually get dragged places. The concept of canceling has never occurred to me somehow. But when my friend who said they would go for a walk with me around two in the morning the last night I was gonna be in town cancelled... It became an issue. I went alone and got stopped by the cops that night, for no reason I was aware of. I had no ID on me. So yeah.

It annoys me because I look forward to it. Then they'll cancel and I'm thinking, "Well, fuck." I usually have to compensate by going out and inviting others to do something else, but still. It's damn irritating. I should probably stop taking people seriously, then.
You got stopped by cops? I guess that isn't amazing considering it was 2AM, but around here cops ignore everyone. >w>~

It was the nice part of town, with the nice stores full of real Chanel and Versace and things. In real life, I am not this color.

@Aya_leaf I know exactly what you mean.

Is that so. <w<~ And I know, I just didn't think it'd make a difference because you were alone and... of a different.. gender..

Poor aya. Can't you stall for an hour?

I know, me neither. It never happened before, and never since. Only that one time that I didn't have my ID.

How strange. What'd you end up telling them as to why you were out late?

The whole story. I left my ID at home by accident because I changed bags. I was staying with a friend in her dorm, so I had her ID. (I needed it to get back into the building) I told them about my friend who canceled on the walk too. They had me call my friends to see if I was telling the truth, but they wouldn't wake up. >_> Eventually they let me go, because apparently walking down the street at 2am near high end shops is not a crime. Freaked me out a bit though.

Well, shit. I would've been so pissed off at that. Seems like the cops in your area are incredibly bored, though. They could've just eyed you from afar if anything.

It wasn't my area, that was probably obvious to them. I looked like crap at the time (was dressed badly) That's all they've done since anyway. Not even that. Just waved. I freak when I see them and they just wave. >_> At 2am.

You should've mocked them and told them you were out for some after-midnight high fashion shopping. Then again, they'd probably arrest you if you said that. But still.

I didn't have the nerve to be mocking. I just said I was just looking at the nice things that I couldn't afford. (all of them) I was wondering why that cop was giving me such a hard time, because we were the same minority. It was his partner that decided to let me go.

Eh? Really? Maybe he has some grudge against his own race, who knows. Or maybe it didn't have anything to do with race at all. Maybe it was your gender- /gasps.

Maybe, though I had a hard time seeing how I would be a threat. This neighborhood had the police station right in the middle. Maybe a block or so down the street for where I was. All the storefront windows had to be alarmed (no bars on them) and I don't think I looked stupid. Though, to be fair, I tend to be suspicious of my race in such situations... comeuppance?

I guess they really give no credit to human beings in general. Who would be psychotic enough to rob designer stores? That's pretty much suicide. *__*
I never actually run into cops myself around here. They always come to my house oddly enough. >w>; That sounds bad.

I live with a cop. Corrections officer. Getting arrested would have been bad...

Why do cops come to your house?

Oh dear. >w>; That would've sucked, then.

Cops tend to stop my out-of-state friends who travel around here often and the cops will usually ask their business and my friends will tell them they were visiting me, even if they weren't. My friends are a bit suspicious-looking, so, the cops will verify it and come over here. >___>; Most of the time they think I'm in danger, or something. They always ask to actually physically come into the house to see me. Gee.

Fascinating. I had never heard of this protective cop behavior. Maybe because I always assume I'm in trouble if I see them around. Even if I haven't broken any laws...

You see, that's where it's screwed up. I should be the one having cops tailing me with the things I do but I don't look "suspicious".
It kind of comforts me that they'd go to such an extent, coming over and all, but at the same time creeps me out. I never hear them arrive and my brother will let them in; next thing I know my room door flies open with a few cops standing there. " sup."

That is creepy. o_o That's another thing that bothers me about cops and such. They go for the suspicious looking ones first. The campus cops claimed the drug tests were random, but they only gave them to suspicious people that everyone thought was taking drugs anyway. (ie not me or any of my friends) I thought that was a mistake. I mean, I didn't take, but I could have, been couldn't I? And I sure as hell could have gotten hold of some alcohol. >.>

The most suspicious types of people are the most normal. >w>; They'll really get no where generalizing and being prejudiced and all that. Those drug tests just sounded like an excuse to catch a few "known" users. But whatever. People are raised like that, it probably won't be changing any time soon.

I'm gone - power hour ran out and not enough lively threads to amuse me. ;(
