Like never ever? Its not like it has to replace book reading, but you're okay with reading fanfics online so why not a book?

Only time I'd be okay with it is if the book didn't exist in a print form.
I don't want the printing industry to die.
Plus, I just love the feel of a book.

I don't think the print industry will ever die. There will always be the first for physical books and I think it's fine to support both. I have two ebooks. The were free gay romance. I've read just one page so far.

I like a book, but I also think my ideal reading place is my tablet. Its easier to laze about and do it all with one hand.

I fear more that releasing books for pleasure in print will die out while like textbooks remain in print.

I really don't prefer to read on screens of any sort. I want a book. And there's a reason I prefer paperbacks. I found those easier to laze with than tablets.

I've had this dicussion a lot in class. No one thinks books will go out of style. I thunk Likely there will be a rivial once things get a little more tech. Time periods always fluctuate between science and mysticism, tangible and intangible. Books will never die.

I don't find them easier at all. I'm so seriously attached to my tablet.

I don't have that kind of trust in society.... we have a tendency to live things behind for new shiny technology.

Tablets are stressfull. Books are easy. I don't have to worry about dropping the book. I do the tablet

Only sometimes. There are so many things made the same as the day they were invented.

Why would you be worried about that while reading?

We still have mounted police for heavens sake! The only reason for it is humans connection to animal.

I toss my tablet around on purpose. I drop it, toss it onto the couch when I'm walking past. They're damn sturdy!

Eh....but that's not why they're around.

Why are you so paranoid?! They aren't porcelain.

I would argue very much that's why they're still around

because my life is being the exception to the rule when it comes to things like that. You know how many phones I've never broken b/c of my clutsiness?
Heck, I broke an otter box!

Whatever. Most of what they do around here is just traffic though.

What do you do to your things and how are you reading on a device that it can even fall? Mine is normally straight on a surface.

i know in the woodlands they also patrol the parking lots to prevent theft

I drop things. It's in my nature. My phone is because I talk with my hands and it flies out of it a lot.
And I hate placing things on surfaces to read. I generally hold them, a lot of times above my head, which is another good reason cuz you don't pain until you've dropped an ipad on your head.

But it doesn't seem like anything specific mounted police would need to do.

I dropped my tablet on my face last night. Its no big deal. I have my tablet in my lap or I'm laying on my stomach or side and the tablet is on the bed.

it's just easier mobility, especially in places like the woodlands which are so crowded with traffic.

It hurts... and I've done it with my phone one to many times. Books don't hurt.
I can only really do that with my phone or a book. it's awkward for my wrist with anything much bigger.
and I flat out cannot lay on my stomach and read, gives me a headache

It makes me so sad D: They had one across the street from myundergraduate college when I first started there. My best friends and I would go, get a kids meal for $2.50, and get the unlimited breadsticks and drinks that came with it. It was the best meal ever D: We were devastated when they closed it. And then they closed the other one by my college and the one near my home town. I wonder why...they are so good. Maybe because we ate so many kids meals they weren't making money? XD

I had a friend who worked at one, and yeah they honestly just aren't making the money to have a bunch of locations open.
It was always funny talking to this friend about our jobs cuz I was working at a Chick Fil A at the time. Her definition of busy was my definition of slow

LOL I can see that. Fazoli's, as delicious as it was, was always slow D: It made me sad D: (And Chick-Fil-A always seems to be packed D: XDD)

I remember when I was a kid like seven or eight going to fazoli's and they were always packed, but that changed at some point.

Working at a CFA is stressful, but worth it

I worked at a plain Taco Bell and also a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/KFC Three-in-one. I thought the plain Taco Bell would get packed - it was nothing in comparison to the Kentacohut XDDD

Aww Poor Fazolis :(

Aww that's great that you see your job as being worth it! So many people are unhappy with their jobs these days!
