Meh, it can still take several days--those just are the times spent on the art itself. The more and longer I stop in between, the longer it takes for the art to actually be finished, of course. Traditional sketches tend to take me a bit longer as well, but that's because I'm more careful there from the get-go 'cause undoing something is a lot more work with pen/pencil and paper, if at all possible.

Was dealing with significant exhaustion yesterday, so after I delivered my newspapers, I went and slept for about 16 hours straight.

Am now finishing up the wings and adding a few more details to the ears&hair, but beyond that it's done. I estimate 60-75 minutes to go.

EDIT: And done/resized/uploaded at exactly the 60-minutes-mark. (posted at 61m, though. ) Looks like I -really- am pretty good at judging how long something will take me

It always takes me longer than I judge. I'm like that with writing too, but in terms of post count. But I'm so lazy. I take so many breaks in between art. Not with writing though if I can help it.

Writing tends to be more difficult for me to judge as well. -nod-

Though I am getting closer. But even if I have a very clear idea of the story from start to finish at the start, I can't judge until I'm at least a third of the way through.

I can sort-of reliably judge it if it's a drabble/one-shot fanfic. If it's original work no matter the length, or chaptered fanfiction? Nope.

Ah, I've been judging fics pretty well, but I haven't done much original fiction in a while.

Vids has started to become a "real" word, yes, but it's still shorthand for videos, so spellcheck will be unlikely to recognize it any time this decade.

with the tablet though, it accepts whatever I tell it is right. So now vids is in the dictionary. I won't automatically change it to view.
