Oh man, Saranghae was one of the first words I learned. I believe Saranghapnida is the more formal version and Saranghago is past tense. Sarang itself is just love.

The whole formal/informal thing is so difficult to learn. I think in general though, the longer it is, the more formal. It's like that in Spanish too. I guess to some degree, even here.

French is J'taime. My love in German is Mein Liebe, but I can't remember how to say I love you. I might know how to say it in another language too.

I should know the French but my hate for the French language is ongoing and vicious so i'll never remember it.
