Hello! I am Adrienne, on Facebook, Adrian Monarch (alias). Feel free to add me.
Anyways, I stumbled upon Menewsha by complete accident... I typed in the wrong address. So! I favorited it so I could come back later, and got my chance to do so today. The gold-earning system seems a little complicated to me, but still resembles Gaia in so many ways: the Monthly Collectibles for $2.50, the currency being "gold", The entire avatar body being posted alongside the posts... But I suppose it helps me, since I have been a member of the Gaian Community for nearly five years now (or more). This still seems like a baby site, in its first few years of development... I'll give it time.
So! I suppose this sums up my introduction.
-Blynd.

Forum sites with avatars are usually pretty similar, but this is actually pretty different from gaia ^^ I left that site a long while ago so i've made my new home here.
Welcome to Menewsha, though! I hope you've found everything simple and to your liking? Some new people have a hard time at first.

It seems to me that quite a lot of the people in here, have been or are still on Gaia too.
I'm one of them xD

Welcome to you.
This place is different from Gaia in a lot of ways but is quite similar to the early days of Gaia when staff cared/were to be found on forums.
Anyway, I hope you like it here.

Welcome! I find that most avatar sites now are similar in setup, but each community vastly differs in its own way. Menewsha is rather friendly. :D

Welcome to Mene! :D
I have to say, there are literally over a dozen avatar forum sites that are similar to Gaia in that they make use of a "gold" system, have avatars, have games, have forums. That's about where the similarities end though. I think you'll find if you hang out here long enough, you'll see the dramatic differences between Mene and Gaia.
I've been a Gaia member since '03, but I have to say -- I rarely go there anymore. It's just too much of a cash-driven mess for me to really participate anymore. And inflation is insane thanks to things like Booty Grab. Yeah, the economy over there is totally effed. :/ I have a place in my heart for Gaia always, but it isn't my "home" on the internet anymore.
I'd say, give us a chance before you compare Mene to Gaia. They're just in totally different ballgames...

Amen. I feel like gaia has taken crazy capitalism pills. I still love it very much, but it's crazy. @@ I go there for money grubbing and hoarding adventures, not people as much anymore. XD

Aye, true that.
To me gaia too kinda lost it's pull and flair, by being too big, and flashy.
mene feels a lot smaller and intimate. It's kinda nice. :]
