Following Ben, sitting in her now usual chair, Lorabelle crossed her arms on the table and rested her chin upon her arm, looking over at Ben. "Perhaps, but I can still hate it," Lorabelle teased with a laugh as she looked at his stack of homework, "Why do they give you so many books and papers to do? If you're going to school to learn, shouldn't they be teaching you instead of making you teach yourself? What is the point of going?"

"They teach us." Ben explained as he finished packing his things. "But then they give us papers to work on to make sure we remember what we've learned and books to research things in case we forget." He said before leaning back against one of the counters. "It can be a bit much sometimes but its not so bad." He shrugged.

"It doesn't sound like much fun.. And it's giving you a furrowed brow more often than not," Lorabelle observed with a frown. "Furrowed brows aren't a good thing, that much I know. Why is there so much work? Do you at least enjoy the work?" Lorabelle inquired as she looked up at Ben from the table.

"I don't really enjoy it but some of it is interesting. And I know that if I manage through this work then I'll get to work with animals on an extern." Ben said with a smile. He already had a small list of places he'd like to extern at.

"Extern?" Lori inquired with a quizzical brow, "What is an... extern?"

"Extern is when I take a break from school to go work at an actual vet's office for experience." Ben explained. "Its technically called an externship but everyone calls it an extern for short." He said as he cocked his head towards Lora. "Lora..." He said shyly at first. "Will you tell me about where you come from?"

Lorabelle blushed a deep scarlet, "Why do you wish to know about home?"

"I'm curious." Ben said simply before putting on a small smile. "If you don't want to answer that's fine as well. I was only wondering about where you came from. I'm sure its much more fascinating then this little apartment." He said as he stepped forward from the counter.

Lorabelle laughed as she pulled her knees to her chest in the chair, "Hmm.. Home.. Where to begin? The water is clear.. The wandering brooks sing as they rush over rocks and through the sand. The flowers all sing a lullaby as you sleep safely tucked in their petals. The animals help us bring our supplies between the human world and our world, as well as between the different villages back home. The grass, it's so green you would think it's made of emeralds! And the trees are so tall that it's as if they hold up the crystal blue sky. The clouds? They're so white.. So free of pollution.. And the air, it's so crisp and clean! It's like breathing a piece of heaven.." With this, Lorabelle trailed off, a distant look in her eyes as a smile graced her lips.

"It sounds beautiful." Ben smiled as he leaned forward with his elbows on the counter so he could listen more intently. "There were different villages? Are they here on Earth or is it like a different realm altogether?" Ben asked, hardly noticing how strange such questions would sound in an everyday conversation would be.

"It's a land called Tullaney; third star from the left and straight on until sunset, don't you remember?" Lorabelle teased with a wink, "So yes, it is above the clouds in a different realm, I suppose you could say. As for villages, yes - we have our own little sections of the world to take care of, and each village is designated one area. This city, believe it or not, was part of my village's territory.

"The High Council, on the other hand, live on a floating city in the center of Tullaney with our Royal Family. Our entire way of life depends upon the floating city of Turrell," explained Lorabelle as she thought about the Council, a small frown slipping into her features as she let out a soft sigh.

"So there really is a Never, Never Land? You're like a real Tinkerbell?" Ben smiled happily as he reached across to take her hand. "Why are you sad? Did I say something wrong?" He asked, confused.

Lorabelle couldn't help but laugh at his outburst, "Never, Never Land? Tinkerbell? What in the word are they? But no, you did not say anything wrong, Ben. I was just thinking of the Council, how angry they looked when I last saw them, that's all."

"I'm sure they'll forgive you. No one can hate a pretty face like that forever." Ben assured her as he retraced his hand and propped his face on it. "Tinkerbell and Never, Never Land are from a movie called Peter Pan. They have to travel through the stars too just like you described." Ben explained.

"Hmm, how strange.. I wonder if someone from home had a punishment like mine and inspired the person for the story," Lorabelle pondered softly, noticing a strange sensation in her stomach that caused her to miss the feel of Ben's hand on hers. Shaking it off, finding it odd, Lorabelle looked over at Ben with a warm smile, "Thank you, for having such confidence in me. But I am afraid I am stuck here forever. I nearly destroyed Turrell, and I nearly destroyed your world. Do you remember the freak ice-storm you had not too long ago?"

"Yeah it was pretty out of the blue." Ben said before the puzzle pieces fell together in his head. "Did you do that?" He asked with a large grin, amazed by Lora's power. "I didn't know you could do that. I mean, you can control weather? Its that like a superpower? I'm sorry I'm asking all of this. But all of this is so...cool." Ben said lamely before shaking his head. Two years in school and all he could come up with was 'cool'?

Lorabelle laughed as a dark blush filled her cheeks, "Yes, that was my doing unfortunately. I truly am sorry about that. It wasn't my intention to influence everything so much.. I merely wanted a nice cool rain. But.. Then I couldn't control it and so I hid. My elder brother had to fix it all for me. He tried to protect me from the Council.. But if he argued further they would have sent him here as well and I refused to let them do that. It was my fault, after all."

"Well I think its really cool, Lora." Ben said as he gave her a warm smile. "I've certainly never been able to change the weather so I'm a bit impressed that you could." He told her. "But I think its really brave of you to take the blame instead of bringing your brother down with you."

"But it was my fault.. He's the one who saved everything," Lorabelle said with a sigh, "It wasn't brave at all. And don't be too impressed, Ben.. I can't do it anymore, and I was never any good.. I was wonderful at getting into mischief, however.."

"Do you not understand that humans have no powers?" Ben asked curiously. "The idea that you could change the weather is astounding. Its supernatural and very, very impressive." He assured her with a smile.

"But I wasn't human when I could do it," Lorabelle reminded him, "I was still Fae."

"It's funny, how you can miss something you were so poor at," Lorabelle added softly with a small laugh.

"I'm sorry you had that taken away from you, Lora." Ben frowned, knowing her should'nt have been so curious with her. "But I think you were really great as a faerie with the powerful to create a storm. Even if it wasn't your intention." He smiled at her.

"Thank you," Lorabelle blushed as she smiled up at him, "And please, don't apologize. I'm happy here, it was worth the exchange."

"I'm glad." Ben smiled as he glanced up at the clock. "And I bet you're about to be alot happier when you taste some of this pizza down the block." Ben assured her as he put his coat on before picking up one of Gina's coats for Lora and helping her slip her arms into it.

Lorabelle laughed as she allowed him to put the coat on her, "Is it really that yummy? Yummier than that puffy stuff you gave me last night at Gina's?"
