"I'm sorry," Lorabelle said in fluent English, "I didn't realize I wasn't speaking English.. Thank you for coming in here and waking me.. Was I very loud? Did I speak in my sleep? I'm sorry if I did.. It was nothing to worry over, I promise," Lorabelle said softly into his chest though she continued to shake slightly from the nightmare.

"You don't need to apologize, Lora." Ben said softly as he held her close. "What were you speaking?" He asked curiously, his brow furrowed as he'd never heard such a language before.

.

Lorabelle blushed as she sat back and looked up at Ben, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you... Let us just say it is a language dead to this world; I apologize for speaking in such a tongue."

.

Ben sighed as he looked down at the mysterious girl in his arms. It seemed that with every answer she gave him he only had more questions to ask. "Maybe eating something will make you feel better." He suggested as he stood from the bed and carried Lora to stand beside him. "I made my favorite dinner." He said happily.

.

Nodding with a small smile, Lorabelle looked up at Ben with a small blush, "Sure. I have never had human food until today, so I am very intrigued as to what that smell is; it smells delicious!"

.

"Its Pasta Rose." Ben explained as he led Lora to a chair and put some pasta and garlic bread on her plate. "Its hot." He warned as he went to his own plate and prepared his own dinner.

.

"Pasta... Rose.." Lorabelle repeated as she poked the food with her finger, pulling it back almost instantly with a small squeak before sticking it in her mouth. Her finger still in her mouth, Lorabelle looked up at Ben and inquired, "What is it made of?"

.

"Pasta, tomatoe sauce, and cream sauce." Ben explained as he put a noodle on his fork and popped it into his mouth after blowingit off softly. "Its my favorite." He grinned as he took a sip of his drink.

.

"What is this.. pasta you speak of? And a tomato.. What is that?" Lorabelle asked uncertainly as she tried out each new word slowly while looked at the concoction before her.

"And how does one eat this... pasta rose... when it is so hot? I cannot pick it up.. And what are these shiny things?" Lorabelle inquired as she hesitantly poked the silver objects beside her place, afraid they too might hurt her when she touched them.

Ben put on a patient smile as he got out of his chair and knelt beside Lora. Taking her hand, Ben showed her how to to hold the fork and speared a noodle before holding it up to Lora's mouth. "Blow lightly on the noodle and then you can put it in your mouth." He instructed.

.

Doing precisely as she was told, Lorabelle's eyes grew wide with delight as she chewed the flavored noodle. "This tastes delicious!" Lorabelle exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around Ben's neck in a hug, "Thank you for making it!"

Turning back to her food, Lorabelle repeated her actions with the object she learned was called 'fork' and began happily eating the Pasta Rose, giggling with delight as she ate.

"I'm glad you like it." Ben smiled as he went back to his chair and began to eat his pasta as well, occasionally taking a bite of his garlic bread and drinking his water.

.

"I love it! We never had anything like this back at home. We mainly had nuts, berries, fruits, nectar from flowers - anything that grew on trees that was small enough for us to consume," Lorabelle rambled on as she ate, her plate emptying quite fast.

When it was gone, having eaten the delicious spicy bread too, Lorabelle smiled at Ben as she sipped her water, "You are a good cook, Ben, it was really delicious. Thank you, for everything."

"You're welcome." Ben smiled as he finished his own dinner. "I only wish you weren't such a mystery to me." He mumbled under his breath as he took a final sip of his water before standing to pick up the dishes, bringing them to the sink to wash.

.

Lorabelle blushed as she finished her dinner quickly and brought her dishes to Ben, "Forgive me.. I do not mean to be secretive.. Do you promise not to make fun, think me strange, nor find me insane for what I tell you? If so, then I shall answer any question you ask of me."

.

"I want to know more about you, Lora." Ben said firmly as he looked to his side though his hands still worked on cleaning the dishes. "I promise not to think you strange." He said. "Please tell me where you came from."

.

"A land of Fae and magic.. A Kingdom on the second star to the left and straight on until sunset," Lorabelle whispered as she looked away from Ben, not daring to look at his reaction as she closed her eyes with a sigh, waiting for him to begin laughing and calling her crazy.

.

Ben's eyes widened with shock as he registered what Lora had just told him. His logic was telling him that Lora was insane and that she was simply talking crazy but a part of him wanted to believe her. He'd always believed in the supernatural to some degree but the idea of seeing a supernatural girl in front of him was beyond comprehension.

.

Not hearing Ben laugh or speak, Lorabelle forced herself to look up at him as she spoke, "Ben.. I.. I know this must seem strange and you must believe me insane, but what I speak is the truth.

"The council changed my appearance and gave me the knowledge of your language, but not of your ways, to allow me to assimilate a tad easier.

"They were not kind to me after nearly destroying a season and revealing out kind to the world in our true forms. Please, you cannot say a word of this to anyone. If they found out..

"If the council found out, we both would be in a great deal of trouble.." Lorabelle insisted as she clutched the front of Ben's shirt and rested her forehead against his chest, "Please do not throw me out for telling you.. I did not wish to lie to you when you have been so good to me.."

.

Ben smiled softly as he ran his fingers through Lora's hair. "Your secret's safe with me." He promised, he knew the story was crazy but everything Lora said seemed so innocent and true that Ben couldn't bring himself to doubt her.

.

Lorabelle's eyes lit up as she looked up with a wide smile, "Thank you!" Placing a quick, light kiss upon his lips, Lorabelle laughed happily as she stepped back, her hands clasped behind her back. "Thank you for believing me, it means a great deal to me."

.

"Of course." Ben smiled, unsure of why he felt a bit disappointed as Lora stepped away from him. Turning back to the forgotten dishes, Ben finished washing them before leaving them to dry. "Jack, Gena, and I had plans for a movie night tonight. Would you like to come?" Ben asked as he turned back to Lora and laid the dishtowel oer the drying dishes.

Lorabelle looked confused as he tilted her head slightly, looking up at Ben as she inquired hesitantly, allowing the new word to lay upon her tongue as she tried it out, "Movie? What is this... movie? Is it like the magic box in the other room?" Lorabelle asked as she took his hands and nearly bounced up and down from excitement, "There are other grand things like the magic box that tell stories? Will you show me this.. movie? It cannot be so grand as the magic box, but I would very much like to see it!"

.

"Of course." Ben laughed as he led Lora to the door and slid on a pair of slippers. "Let me get you a pair of Gena's shoes." He said as he went to his room quickly and returned with a pair of light pink flats to put on Lora's feet. "Let's go." He smiled as he took her hand and brought Lora outside of his room and to the elevator where he hit the buttons to bring them to the first floor where Jack lived.

Lorabelle smiled happily as she nearly skipped while following Ben through the halls, hardly noticing how they got from one place to another. "Ben? Whats this.. movie like? What kind of stories does it tell? Do you always watch them with Jack and Gena? They seem to do everything you do," Lorabelle added with a laugh as she rested her head upon his shoulder and linked their fingers together.
