(IDK if the mother would still be awake for a bit after that so I'm just gonna say she is ^^)

Alora smiled softly still in her wolf form as she was able to look down at her pups slightly and kept a close eye on the smallest one... The runt. This pup she would be the most protective over.... She knew what Ratchet would want to do to it but she wouldn't let him. She had gotten a bit bigger since the first day she had been in the cave... Though not by much. She was still very small compared to the other wolves... Even the normal ones. She had not seen Ratchet yet and was slightly weary of what he would do when he saw the tiny pup... She had a normal sized litter, 6 pups split equally between them, 3 girls, and 3 boys... She was surprised she had a full litter the first litter her sister and mom had there was only maybe 4 or 5.

Ratchet yawned as he shuffled through the pups of the other females. Most he let live but the runts he killed. They were worthless would only waste food....he had finished all other litters and now moved on to Alora's. He wasn't expecting many pups. He paused slightly taken aback. "What the...." he paused his tail flicking happily.

Alora was slightly taken by surprise when she heard Ratchet then as an automatic reflex her front paw that was closest to the runt curled closer to it slightly in an almost defensive way. She looked up at him quietly and was worried about him trying to kill the pup that she was keeping a close eye on.... She wouldn't let him... She wouldn't dare let him... Though she was also worried that he might try to touch one of the other pups and hurt them since they were going to be smaller then the others in the cave... Though you could defiantly tell which one was the runt.

"A whole litter Alora...." He said softly. He would let the smallness of the pups go for that....but the runt, "Give me the runt...I can see you hiding him Alora....he won't live he's too small...." He said his eyes narrowed.

"For one it's a girl and for two no..." Alora said no fear in her tone for him. She wasn't scared right now he wouldn't do anything to her if he wanted the pups to live... And just by how he was acting he would want them to live. "You have no idea how strong runts can be..." She murmured softly knowing he would never be able to tell though she also knew he wouldn't back down that easy... She was going to keep this pup safe even if it meant getting less respect.

"I don't care Alora....give me the runt..." He growled darkly. His fur standing on end. He couldn't hurt her. The other pups needed her alive. This angered him greatly.

"You want to kill one runt you might as well kill the other." Alora growled quietly not making it very load... She had never growled out of anger... She had never went against Ratchet since that first day she tried to run either. It was obvious she was referring to herself... That was one of the reasons she was so much smaller then even a normal wolf... She was just a little bigger then most dogs were. She kept the pup hidden safely behind her front leg and continued to look up at Ratchet wondering what his reaction would be to her words.

Ratchet roared angrily his fur bristling at he looked at her fire coming out of his nose, "You will pay for this!" He growled he was furious.

Alora was very silent as she laid there looking up at him with her soft red eyes no longer holding strength... She was very tired and she was now worried about what he would do to her when the pups were weened... It scared her slightly to think about... She just didn't want him to kill the pup... She knew it would live she just knew it. "I... I'm sorry Master... I was out of line I know... It's just... I was the runt of my litter and my father wanted to kill me when he saw me... My mother stopped him... He said I would never amount to anything... I saw him kill a little brother of mine when I was younger... He was one of the healthiest pups... I was the only one with powers and one of the only two with a human form out of my litter..." She said softly lowering her gaze back to the nursing pups... She was somewhat happy... Well she was happy when she looked at them... Especially the runt which didn't seem much different then the others... Just a bit smaller.

Ratchet stared at her, "Thats immpossible…" He muttered looking at him. If hehad been in human form his face would be pale.

Alora sighed and started brushing one of her paws across her face revealing a long faded pink line that went from just about the top of the right side of her face to just about an inch off of the red on the left side of her snout. "I told you... I won't lie... I would never lie about this... He tried to kill me... But my mother stopped him... I swear I am not lying... If you don't believe me I know my father had a cave and it was next to the small waterfall we were supposed to be camping next to... He would try to kill me again if he had the chance." she said pure honesty in her voice and eyes... Even though she had moved one of her paws the other was still around the pup and when she had move her fur she put it back down close to the pup as well.

"Well he wont get the chance if anyone kills you it would be me..." He said his eyes dark, "Fine....I give the pup three weeks...then if he can't make the winter migration with out help I'll kill him..." Ratchet said his eyes cold as he looked at her.

Alora nodded quietly as she looked back down at her pups... They were all asleep now and all curled up to her. She smiled softly in her wolf form and slowly closed her eyes laying her head in a more comfortable position... Though didn't fall asleep... She was tired though she didn't know if she could sleep now... She was still in a tiny bit of pain... Who wouldn't be?

Ratchet sighed shaking his head sitting on his haunches, "Your a difficult girl Alora..."

Alora smirked slightly still keeping her eyes closed. "So I've been told." She laughed slightly. She had a good sense of hummer even for a girl that was almost killed and taken from her family.... Even for a girl that has been raped for quite some time... She never lost that... She always had something to keep her head above water and she always looked ahead and tried not to look back too often.

Ratchet paused and looked at her really looked at her. He stiffened his eyes far away. They seemed cloudy.

Alora reopened her eyes and looked at Ratchet wondering what was wrong. He looked like he was day dreeming or something along those lines. She yawned quietly and closed her eyes slightly though they weren't all the way closed though you couldn't tell that right off.

Eventualy Ratchet snapped out of it. He sighed seeig they were alone. "I think your going to be trouble on my heart Alora…" Hecsaid softly. Then laid next to her asleep.

"Huh... I've heard that once before..." Alora murmured quietly with a slightly smirk though she was trying to hide the fact of who she had heard it from. (Small flash back time XD ) "Alora." Callence laughed shaking his head after Alora accidentally knocked him on the ground. "Sorry sorry sorry." She said her face blood red as she tried to get up. "It's fine." Callence laughed as he started to sit up. Somehow before they had gotten up someone ran into Alora pushing her forward and making her accidentally kiss Callence... Who at this time wasn't her boyfriend. Callence was one of the most popular guys in school... And one of the hottest goth guys Alora had ever seen. When they both could pull away he half smiled at the red faced girl. Callence had been going out with the most popular girls in the school so even though Alora liked him she couldn't ask him so this was very awkward for her. "It seems you're going to be some trouble on my heart Alora Haren." He smiled softly and tipped her chin up to kiss her again. Normally this memory was one of her favorites to look back on though now it just seemed to make her very sad... Though she tried not to be... It wasn't good to be sad when you have pups... Or babies...

Ratchet yawned streching in the mornig lookig around to see who was up. He smiled looking at Alora. He scowled once he realized he was smiling.
