Emy sighed a little. "I'm not sure, but I'm hoping if I spend enough time around here that I can figure something out."

"Huh." Léan happily chowed on his fish for a long moment before speaking again. "Fair enough. I suppose that works..."

Emy smiled a little as she watched him, not that it disgusted her to watch him eat that fish, but she was watching his face. She nodded a little. "Thanks...you should probably continue being hostile towards them, to reinforce that only I can feed you. I think it'd give them more a reason to hire me." She looked at his fish, trying to hold down her smoothie. "Do you want another?"

"Please..." Léan mumbled, finishing up his current fish. His tail flicked back and forth, eagerly. He was quite hungry. He could have probably gorged himself on two buckets full of fish...

Emy nodded and took a firm grip on a fish and slid it into the water. "There you go. I can let more go at a time if you want."

Léan ducked down and chased the fish through the tank, enjoying the chase, until he captured it. He brought it to the surface after killing it, and nibbled on it, easily. "If you want to go now and ask about taking the job of a caretaker, you could just dump the whole bucket of fish in here," he suggested.

Emy smiled a little as she watched him speed after the fish. He looked happier when he was doing so. When he came back up she shrugged slightly at the suggestion. "I sorta don't want to leave, because I do enjoy talking to you, but I should probably see about the job and my sister." She eyed the bucket thoughtfully, as if trying to decide if she wanted to leave or not.

Léan didn't interrupt his thinking as he ate, ravenously. He would let her decide. He didn't mind either way...he just wanted to eat.

Emy looked over at him after a moment. "Well, I do have to do some things....and you're starving. So, I'll go." She stood up a little unbalanced, but caught herself, having almost fallen in. "Here." She dumped the bucket of fish in and smiled a little. "I guess I'll see you later."

"Farewell." Léan ducked back underwater, finishing his current fish and rapidly chasing after another. He seemed to be ignoring the crowd outside of his tank, which was being unintentionally entertained by his antics.

Emy watched for a moment, then started walking back towards the stairs. "I hope he hires me....though I'd rather not work for someone like him." She muttered to herself.

Léan went on his way, happily picking off fish as they swam around. The owner was waiting by the front of the tank, with his guards keeping watch over Emy's sister.

Emy came back and her little sister ran up to her. "Hey! So, what was he like? What happened? Did he talk to you?"

Léan watched them as he hunted his meals down, curiously. He never really paid too much attention to humans and how they worked, though he'd learned about them in school.

Emy smiled a little. "He didn't talk much, just to tell me he was hungry. I just sat up there and talked to him." She looked at the owner. "I was wondering, if maybe I could be his caretaker?" The little girl's eyes widened as she stared at her sister surprised.

"Actually, young lady...I was going to ask you myself," the man revealed, surprised. "It didn't attack you. The last person who went in there was sent to the hospital, because that creature pulled him under and attacked him. All you would have to do is feed him."

Emy looked surprised as well. "Wow...okay. Thank you very much." She smiled. "I was wondering how many times a day I'm allowed to feed him."

"Three. We aren't sure how much he eats, but three times a day is what we decided on," the man explained, easily. "Live fish only. He won't bother with dead ones."

Emy nodded. "Morning, noon and night I assume." She looked at the merman then with a little smile. "He seems to enjoy chasing them." The little girl stomped her feet. "I want to see the merman! Take me up there!" Emy frowned at her sister. "Stop that right now. You heard the man, the last person in there before me was attacked and put in the hospital, do you want to worry dad like that?" The little girl stopped cold, then looked at the ground ashamed. Emy was pretty sure that he wouldn't hurt her sister, but she had to keep her sister away so she wouldn't become involved when she tried to break him out.

Léan seemed unfazed by the crowd, now. He was too focused on the fish swimming around him. Thankfully, this meant he was more relaxed and not as panicked as he had been before. The man nodded. "All right, then. You can start later today, or tomorrow. He still has one meal time left for today...at night."

Emy nodded. "I'll be back later...I wouldn't want anyone else getting hurt." Then she took her sister's hand. "Wait. Do I need a pass or something so I don't have to pay every time I come here?" Emy was watching the merman from the corner of her eye and was glad he seemed more relaxed.

The man dug around in his pocket and pulled out one of the passes. He always kept two or three on him in case he needed them. "Here. Just flash this to the employees at the entrance and they should let you in," he confirmed, nodding.

Emy took the pass and looked it over, then nodded. "Thank you." She looked back at the merman one more time, then waved slightly. She pulled her sister along. "Come on. What else would you like to see?"

Léan didn't wave back, seeing as he didn't want to attract more attention to himself than was possible. Instead, he kept on cleaning out the fish in the tank. He was having fun.

Emy was still a little happy that she as able to see him later. Her little sister looked up at her. "I finished your smoothie. You have an odd taste in fruit, you know that?" Emy chuckled. "I know. Hey, you wanna go see the sharks?" The little girl nodded and started off towards them. "Stay close. I don't wanna have to search for you."
