Léan gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Are you ready to start our journey, again?" he murmured, softly. They could wait if she didn't want to move just yet.

After a moment, Emy nodded slightly and smiled softly at him. "I'm ok....we can go now."

Léan smiled, and then quietly waited for Monty to lead the way again. He was the one who knew where they were going. He was naturally wary of older males. That was instinct talking, as well as his bad past.

Emy gently took Leandre's hand and moved slightly. Monty looked over at them and nodded slightly. "Alrighty." Then he started swimming back the way they'd come.

Léan followed him, pretty sure that he knew where he was going. He just hoped they'd reach the Bering Sea soon. He would be able to smell his brother's scent by then, and would know where to find him.

Léan, despite himself, shot forward when the river finally showed signs of ending. He could literally feel the difference in the water--the salt water felt nicer on his skin. He rolled around a few times, contently.

The water in the Bering Sea was much cooler than the river water...that was also a very obvious change. He didn't seem to mind it in the least, however.

Emy just smiled, seeing his excitement after so long of looking depressed. It made her heart leap to see him that way. She slowly swam up to him and smiled. Then all of a sudden looked back at Monty. "Umm...is he coming with?"

Léan paused in his antics, tail flicking back and forth, and absently gazed in Monty's direction. "Do you want to come?" he asked, simply.

Before he could say that he really wouldn't mind Monty coming, he stopped, and sniffed the water around him. He was off again, to the right, at a fast pace. He was just barely visible in mere minutes.

Emy was about to say something, then squeaked and followed after Leandre as fast as she could, Monty behind her.

Léan had stopped near a small expanse of thick, jagged rocks and caves in them. He was searching around, tail...wagging, almost. Quite excitedly.

Emy finally caught up to him and was gasping for air. "Lean...what...are you...doing?"

Léan blinked, and turned back. He noticed she was out of breath and sighed, apologetically. He opened his mouth to speak...but he didn't get that liberty.

There was a sudden, loud squeal, and a fast-moving ball of hyper slammed into Léan, knocking him back away from the rocks. A closer look--after a few seconds of growling, chittering, and squeaks, revealed that there...were now two Léans? No...the second one was probably Léan's brother.

Emy gasped and watched with first shock, then curiousity. "Umm..." Her eyes lit with recognition and she just smiled.

Monty looked confused, tilting his head to the side.

Léan seemed to be much calmer than his brother, who was twitchy and more easily startled. He spent another minute or so cuddling with his brother.

It was at this point his brother noticed the two strangers. He didn't do so well with strangers, and he visibly shrank back. His eyes were a tad wider and owlish than Léan's were. He fidgeted, nibbling on his bottom lip.

Léan rolled his eyes, far too used to his brother's nature to be surprised. "This is my brother. Arcturus."

"Archie." Archie's voice was softer than Léan's. Much less confident.

Emy noticed that he was much more nervous than Leandre. "Hello. I'm Emy."

Monty just starred at the other merman for a moment. "Archie, huh? I'm Monty."

"Hi." Archie's shyness was just as endearing as it was pathetic for someone his age. It was a funny mix. He seemed down about something, but he didn't bring whatever it was up. Instead, he just let the happiness of seeing his brother again overwhelm him, and his tail began to 'wag' again.

Emy noticed that something was bothering Archie, but she wouldn't push. Though something confused her. "So...what now, Leandre?"

Léan glanced at her after coddling his brother for a moment. "Well. I'm nomadic, and I often travel. But if you want to settle down somewhere, we certainly can...either in a free area, or in a settlement..."

Emy just grinned slightly. "I love you, hun. I'll go where ever you want."

"Shall we take a vote, then?" Léan held little love for towns and cities. He preferred living a bit more simply. Off course...if Monty was going to stay with them, there would probably be some form of constant ompetition between him and Léan. Nomadic merpeople often lived in packs...much like wolves. And they had an alpha, of any gender.

Léan didn't like to be challenged, but it was usually the eldest of a group that acted as an alpha.
