Léan, after hunting down the fish, spent the rest of his day asleep, curled up on one of the fake rock structures. He hadn't slept in two days, so it was probably a good thing...

After visiting most of the sharks and some eels and manta rays, Emy took her sister home and fed her. Then waited until her father got home to tell him she had a job feeding one of the exibits at the aquarium. He seemed glad and a little less stressed. Probably because he could spend more time at home now.

She headed back to the aquarium after she ate. Showed her pass to the gaurds and headed towards his tank.

Léan was still asleep by the time she arrived, curled up tightly and resting his head on his tail like a pillow. He must have been tired...really tired.

Emy smiled softly when she saw he was asleep, then went to the back and looked around. She was trying to figure out some things, like how she would get him out if she was going to try to break him out of the aquarium.

Léan slept on, relaxed. He dreamt of being in open water once more...of seeing his brother again. He missed his brother, terribly.

After a while, Emy came up over the tank and sat down from a little bit. Once she got bored, she laid down on it and her fingers traced the water a little bit as she hummed softly.

Léan stirred after a few more minutes. Then, he shook off the sleep and floated up to the top of the tank, where he broke the surface. He didn't say anything for a moment--it was almost like he was checking to see if it was her, first.

Emy wasn't paying attention to anything, it was kinda peaceful when there wasn't anyone else around. Well, humans anyway. She didn't notice he'd woken and come up to the surface.

Léan was half-paying attention to his actions. He listened to her hum for a while and then opened his mouth. He let loose a different kind of wail. It was hypnotic, like a song, almost.

Emy hummed until she heard his wail. She blinked and looked at him, but then was sort of entranced by the sound. She stared at him, a small smile on her face, then started to sit up, but slipped and fell face first into the water with a little squeak.

Léan, at first, took it as an attack. But when he calmed down, he simply snickered, floating around on the surface of the water, on his back. "Silly human."

Emy sputtered and came back up, her face beet red when she figured out what happened. She looked at him, sort of embarrased. "Don't laugh at me....its your fault." She kept blushing as she pulled herself out of the water and back onto the platform.

"What nonsense is that? I did nothing," Léan replied nonchalantly. "You simply toppled over...I did not push you, nor did I pull you in..."

Emy's face darkened. "What was that you were doing? Were you singing?" She tried to change the subject, but took one look at herself and her face just got darker. Her clothes hugged her like a second skin...maybe he wouldn't notice.

Léan, used to being totally oblivious to humans, thankfully did not notice. "The song of sirens, even male ones, entrances humans...is like pure euphoria to their ears. Haven't you heard tales of sirens luring sailors to their deaths? You humans blame the sirens for the deaths...but, instead, it was the sailors that grew distracted and capsized and sank their ships..." he mused.

Emy was thankful he didn't notice, her face becoming a little less red. She nodded a little. "I've heard of them....I agree on that. I don't blame the sirens. But, I don't really blame the sailors for thinking it was the siren's fault either. Those people were very supersticious, and most still are, so I can understand why they would think that the sirens did that on purpose."

"Mm." Léan stretched his tail out. It wasn't clear if he was hungry again yet or not...he'd eaten a lot of fish the last time. An entire bucketful.

Emy watched him for a moment, then remembered what she was there for. "I was looking around earlier, while you were asleep. There's hardly anyone here at this time of day. In the morning I can see which time would be best to get you out of here."

Léan's tail swished back and forth excitedly. "I hope it is soon...I was on my way to visit my brother when they captured me. He is probably very worried about me..."

Emy smiled softly. "I'll try to make it as soon as possible. But we can't be caught, so I have to make sure its as safe as I can manage." She looked at him for a moment. "I was wondering how to....well...move you. You can't just walk out, or you would've left by now."

"I can stay out of water for a week, and that is the longest I can go," Léan revealed, thinking. "Any way will be good, I suppose..."

Emy blinked slightly. "Well, it wouldn't take a week to get you to the water. It'd be good to know where you live, I could put you in the water nearest to your home....or maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea....since people know you exist, they'll be hunting your kind." Her voice sounded sad at that. She quickly changed the subject. "Hmm...do you guys have homes like humans do?" She sounded totally clueless. Though she didn't want to assume they did.

"Most of our kind live in abodes of their own, yes. There are nomadic groups and even nomads who travel alone--such as myself. I move from place to place. I have been all over the world," Léan explained.

Emy stared, wide-eyed at him for a moment. "Seriously? Thats awesome! I wish I could do that? I've always wanted to travel, but never had the means to." She thought to herself for a moment, then shook her head as if dismissing the thought. "So, I'm assuming that your brother is not a nomad? Since you knew where he would be."

"My brother lives in a small settlement in the Bering Sea," Léan revealed. "They take care of him. He is a timid man...he is afraid of everything and anything that moves."
