D: There are special prgorams fro writing that down, though, and you could use char map for it, or something.

the surge protector company may be able to do something about it... depending on if you have the receipt or not. they usually cover things if something like that happens

I wish they covered a lot. My friend's brother spilled milk all over her laptop and it started to corrode everything....but unfortunately, it really wouldn't be helpful to the company to cover lightning or water damage. They're too easy for people to take advantage of. T_T

Best Buy covers stuff like this... *plugs for her old company* I used to work there for a while and I still love the company.. i only left because I had to choose between working part time there and working full time where I am now while I was in school and I chose where i'm at now because they paid more.. well and i'm better at what i do here too.

The accidental damage plans cover everything BUT complete submersion in liquid. XD

Was a very nice one. Just had a very very bad storm. Lost a nice tv to 56inch LCD.
It was turned off. I turn my computer off every night.

I power off my laptop all the time and only access it while it's stormy outside if ism on wireless and using the battery power. I really love my laptop... it's great... but I don't know what I'm going to do with my desktop anymore. It doesn't even POST. T_T

Wow, really!? 0.o...I had no idea. Of course, I doubt I have that, 'cause my cheapo dad would never bother to spend an extra dime...He only bought me the laptop to shove me off the main computer. XD
