Lizz screamed her soft sounding voice muffled by the snow as she was grabbed from behind. She hissed and Struggled against the man holding her. She caught two scents, Vampire and elf. She hissed as he tried to crush her, and yelled out again as she felt her rib crack a bit from the pressure.

When she was forced to her knees, blood red hills spilled down her pale cheeks. She couldn't believe she was going to die again, by a vampire no less. Deep down, she didn't really care anymore.... but it just seemed so sudden. "If your going to kill me, make it quick... Pitro is gone... i have no where to go... I suppose Death would be a good Avenue to take." She said in a soft voice laced with pain and loss.

As he is sitting there, watching the painful story unfold for the poor youth, Auda is comforted when he picks up on a new smell coming from the elf's direction. It's Es. Our mistress and clan leader. Ah, it seems Es has finally stepped in As he observes for alittle while longer, he finally hears the young say the words he's been waiting to hear. Yes, he wants to live. So he gets up and stretches his muscles abit before saying Alrighty, guess thats my cue to scoot. Es can call me if she needs me. or wants me, whichever comes first So he springs off further into the forest in search of his entertainment for the day.

Esmme let her blue eyes follow Auda as the wolf trotted off. It was time then. And this part was the worst. Lowering her mouth just above his throat, the vampire whispered a few words of comfort, stroking Vyr's head for a few moments until she sank her fangs in. It wouldn't take long; he was already on the brink of death.
As burning fire spread throughout the dark elf, Esmme's cold hands held him still. Only a few moments of agony. And then he would begin his turning. By morning, he would be a vampire - it would take roughly a week to get used to every new heightened sense, the feel of power - and a few months to tame the newborn enough to control.
It was many minutes before the clan leader pulled away from the dark elf, wiping blood from her lips swiftly before stroking the male's hair once again.
"Then welcome to our family, dear."
Standing, she lifted Vyr, glancing about for Auda. "I'm returning to the den," she said loud enough for the forest to carry her voice, knowing the winter wolf would hear her.
-

Ehl sighed, placing his book aside. He wasn't willing to start a fire for light, and the moon had finally moved too far to cast its luminance into the den. Red eyes surveying the forest, the youth suddenly stiffened. He had linked his thoughts to Esmme's for the briefest of moments. She found one.
The "teen" was on his feet swiftly, moving forward to help his clan mother as soon as she came into sight. In her arms was a young elf, black-skinned and coated in blood. With a small groan, Ehl backed away, averting his eyes. Though he'd been with the Cullyn clan for years, the scent of blood still made him . . . hungry.
Instead of asking, Ehl merely headed out into the night, knowing it would be best if he was completely full before he returned. He didn't want to risk the newborn's safety. Heading along the trail of Helga's scent, the youth went to catch up with her, a mere flicker of shadow and movement through the snow. It wasn't long before he picked up on her thoughts, which called to him more than any scent could have. When he did reach the other vampire, he raised an amused eyebrow, grinning widely. "Having fun with that?" he asked from a few feet away, watching her complete her snowman.
-

Hearing her words, Kej stiffened, stopping himself from crushing the woman. For a moment, he couldn't help but pity her. She sounded so . . . so hurt. Slowly relaxing his death-hold on her, the elf spun her to face him, looking into her features for a few moments. He blinked, a grim smile slipping onto his pale features.
"If you had the choice," he whispered, keeping his hands on her shoulders to prevent her slipping away, "would you start over?" Perhaps . . . she is the one I will bring home.

"IT IS COLD!!!!" Ameika screamed childishly into the sky, she only had a long sleeve, baggy shirt on, after all being an orphan and living out on your own, there wasn't much you could find. She trompped through the thick snow as she tried to find some place for the night, more like to sleep for the winter, even being a kitsune it was still trouble some when you needed to rest and sleep in. She was to cold and shivering to notice the smell of blood, elf, vampire, or any of the scents that was associated with the Cullyn Clan, she trompped on a few more feet before she fell to the ground, holdding her self as she tried to get warm. "I hate snow!!!!!" she screamed once more to what she believed to be the empty woods around her, her tail wrapped around her legs as her ears lay flat on her head. She was very young for a kitsune, merely a child to be exact but in human years she was consider and adult but with the way she actted and look it was hard to tell just how old she really was.

Ehl tilted his head, listening. "Did you hear that?" he asked Helga, frowning a bit. The youth scented the air through parted lips, frowning. "Was that a girl?"
Slowly turning in the direction of the previous voice, he started forward, curiosity getting the best of him. "Do you think we should check?" Already his mind was branching out, searching for whoever was out in the snow.

((I'm not 100% sure what to do with Adia. Hey, Dewey! Does Auda want to find her? I'll throw her in the woods. XD))

Helga jumped a little as Ehl called out to her at first. She was too immersed in her building that she had accidentally ignored most of the signs and senses around her.
Giving him a slightly impish smile, she nodded, "Yes, I thought, maybe it vas time for a leedle break?" she laughed, both in slight embarrassment and in the joy of having some company. However, she cut her laugh short as the two listened to screams reverberate through the dense black forest.
"Yes," Helga replied, softly. "Ve must." With that she took off in the direction of the screams.

***

Adia tripped once more on the hem of her long dress. "I hate winter," she said as though the word "winter" were a vulgarity of some sort. Near tears, she desired to sit and rest, but she was too afraid to stop moving. "What if I freeze to death out here?" she thought miserably, hating herself for thinking she could navigate any path when snow covered the ground so completely. Tripping again, for the umpteenth time, she fell on her face, but this time gave up. "I'll never get back to town," she thought as tears finally had their way, leaving her a quivering lump on the frozen forest floor.

((hehe surely, Auda would be glad to find her))

Auda chuckles after hearing Es' declaration to the rest of the forest, knowing who she was REALLY trying to tell. Wouldn't it be hilarious if someone answered her and it wasn't us? Auda goes back to hopping about through the forest, quite curious as to y he never sees any wildlife when he goes out like this. And to be honest quite honest, why nothing ever finds HIM with how loud he is most times. O well, Not like I couldn't take of it if something did. SQUIRREL! As Auda's ADD comes out for a second, just long enough to make itself known as it's prone to doing. Ok, I'm doing hip hopping through the woods, it's too QUIET out here. Wonder what the humans are doing

The young elf, only by their standards, couldn't make out the words that the woman was saying anymore it was too difficult to focus on hearing. But it wasn't long before he felt something pierce his skin and then, heat, immense heat. It was like his body had turned into a furnace, and the intensity of that heat caused the elf to squirm, suddenly growing strong once more. He would have arched his back had something not been holding him down. What was going on? The burning sensation only lasted a short while longer but when it was done, it seemed as though his muscles wouldn't stop twitching for a moment. Then there was nothing... it grew darker and even more silent.

(Ah... Vyr's first night in the rp he spends in pain. How cruel )

((*laugh* That's my job . . . make those who are new go through a bit of pain. :XD Nah, jk, jk. :poke:))

Esmme moved into the den, choosing a room for the "young" vampire. His color, or so she was choosing for him at the moment, was a dark crimson. Ignoring the ragged curtain as she stepped through, the clan leader moved to the bed. The entire room, just like every other, had a chest for belongings sitting at the foot of a rather comfortable bed, and a dresser near the far wall. It wasn't much, but it was going to be home for the newborn.
"Just rest," the blue-eyed vampire murmured, setting the drow on the bed and stroking his head once again. As always, she felt terrible - no one deserved an eternal death. But everyone deserved a second chance. Muttering a few comforting things to the male, Esmme slipped out of the room and returned with one of the many wine bottles from the kitchen. Though the liquid inside wasn't quite "the nectar of the gods," it certainly was life-giving - it was blood.
Unstopping the bottle, the dark-haired elf lifted the newcomer's head gently, pressing the rim to his lips. "Drink. It will help."

-

Ehl didn't need any more prompting. Moving ahead, though not out of Helga's range, the youth scented the air once again. He finally caught the trail - in his mind. The scattered remnants of thoughts that he could pry off of the stranger, a girl, weren't solid - but they were enough. Drawing both Helga and himself in the right direction, the dark-haired boy pointed ahead, seeing a bit of movement. Finally hearing the sniffles of the creature ahead, Ehl slowed, crouching low and keeping to the snow. "There," he breathed, knowing Helga's enhanced hearing would catch his words. "She'd . . . cold."

((LOL Coolness & thanks. ^^))
Sniffling, Adia forced herself to sit up when a cry of "SQUIRREL!" shot through the forest. "I'm hallucinating," she murmured to no one. Hallucination or not, she knew she'd rather die with a hallucination instead of by herself, and now she absolutely was certain that she was going to die tonight. Afterall, she had never hallucinated before, and her studies reminded her that sometimes people go mad before death.
"Hello?" she called, stalking towards the sound of someone romping in the snow. Honestly, she was bit miffed that anyone would have fun when she was busy dying! But she'd forgive the hallucination were they polite about it. Sniffling once more, she stopped in her tracks at the sight of an icy-blue wolf. "Are you some sort of fantastical guide to heaven?" she asked.

***

Helga felt worry line her stomach as she heard Ehl's words: "She's cold." That was rarely a good sign. Still, Helga held tight to the notion that if Ehl lead them there, he may have followed the kitsune's thoughts, which meant there was some hope.

Of course, Ehl never meant to worry Helga . . . he just described what he was hearing in a summary. The girl sounded very much alive and well . . . just cold thanks to the snow. She hated it, apparently. It wasn't long before Ehl caught sight of the girl, and glanced to Helga before slowly starting forward. Watching the kitsune, he narrowed his red eyes, fighting the urge to speak. What would I say?
Slowly stepping forward, for he'd never seen someone with ears and a tail like she had, Ehl reached out to stroke her ears, looking intrigued.

((LOLOL, OH Auda. ^_^))

The elf had become rather conscious of things suddenly or so it seemed, even though he had little to no control over his body. It was like he was paralyzed but in a state of self awareness, in other words it was annoying. What good was it to be aware but not be able to do anything? But breaking him from his own thoughts was the voice of a woman, no, the same woman from before. She told him to "Drink. It will help.", but he had no idea what she was talking about. That was the case, until there was a fluid rushing down his esophagus. What is this flavor? The elf had not tasted something like this before, it was rich, and it was good. He pondered the flavor for a while longer but eventually let it be. If he ever woke up fully then he would find out.

((she is a kitsune not a vampire lol and yes i live i had to go and cook lol sorry))

"W....who's there?" Ameika asked, stuttered through the cold that she was feeling, she looked around the clearing trying to find who was there, her stomach then growled. "I AM HUNGRY!!!!" she yelled to the sky before she feel over backwards and just looked towards the sky, her stomach growled loudly once more, she whined a little, she then shoot up and curlled up. "Why did it have to snow last week!?!?!?!?" she said loudly, she did it more to not feel alone, her eyes were slowly driftting close, her body was shutting down from the cold and what was even sadder was the fact that she wasn't even fighting it even more.

((XD Auda...just awesome))

"Oh my gosh, I'm insane," Adia said outloud. In all honesty, she had wondered what insanity would be like for quite some time, and decided that if she was insane this could be fun, if this were not insanity, then she was just very very fortunate.
"My hero?" she said. At first, she offered her dainty ringed hand to the wolf, but realized that perhaps it would be better if she patted his furry head. He was warm to the touch, and the sudden feel of warmth reminded her of how bitterly cold it was outside. She no longer had blood that could grow too slow in certain temperatures, but the air stung her flesh, and it had been a considerable length of time since she could last feel her ears. "Lead the way to warmth and safety, my new cheesecake slaying friend."

***
Helga glanced from Ehl to the kitsune. Ehl seemed quite curious about the girl, and she couldn't blame him. The first time she had seen a creature like this, she had tried to pull their tail off, thinking it was an elaborate hoax. The girl moved a bit and screamed of hunger. To this, Helga inched back, wondering what exactly to do. It wasn't long before the girl seemed to be succumbing to death. They had to do something.

Ehl pulled his hand back when the fox girl fell backward, catching a blip of her thoughts. "She is dying," he whispered to Helga, stepping closer and kneeling down, stroking her ears in earnest. Poor thing. Winter was dangerous to those who felt it. "She needs warmth." And we can't give it to her.

((And, I'm sorry to be a bother, you want her to be a vampire, or do you want her to stay "mortal" for a while? :XD))

Esmme's head shot up from her work as an echoing howl filled the night silence. Setting down the bottle on the nightstand beside Vyr's bed, the vampire smiled. Oh, Auda. Tonight was a good one - already two newcomers? Incredible. It was the most she'd ever seen show up at once. After all, Helga showed up not long after Kej, but that was a different story.
Stepping out into the cavern to gather what little fruits and vegetables were left in their kitchen-like part of the den, Esmme set them on the table, glancing toward the moonlit entrance. So many at once. It brought a smile to her porcelain features, and a flood of warmth flew through the elf. Good.
Instead of waiting for Auda, the den mother moved back toward Vyr's new crimson-curtained room, peeking in to make sure he was alright before leaning against the stone outside, listening with keen ears as her wolf friend loped closer.
-

Nodding at Helga, Ehl moved to nudge the kitsune, muttering something about getting warm. "You're going to freeze," he mumbled, glancing toward his friend as he picked the girl up. Luckily he was a vampire - even if the girl was small, he would have been too sick to walk, let alone carry her on his own. "You lead the way back?" he asked Helga, his red eyes narrowing as he bit back his urge to feed. He'd been kept away from the humans and all of their kind for so long, he wasn't sure how to react. It was vampire instinct that made him hungry, even though he'd never feasted on a human before.
Just hearing the blood rush through her, the very thought of how warm and wonderful-
Ehl shook his head, blinking. Shifting his hold on the girl, the dark-haired youth forced his thoughts back to her safety. This isn't the time.

Adia held tightly to Auda's soft blue fur as he dashed through the trees. At first, she was stunned into silence, but as he continued to leap, she couldn't help but scream when they got a bit too close to a branch or the distance between two branches seemed too far. Each time, the wolf surprised her and they landed safely enough to spring forward again.

***

Helga noticed Ehl's eyes narrow, and wanted to pat him on the back for his resistance to his urges. This wasn't the time, though, and she made a mental note to praise him later.
"Let's go," Helga said, before leading the way home in a hurry. As dire as the situation was, Helga couldn't help but feel a little excited. "It has been soooo long since I've seen live human-like crrreature," she said over her shoulder. "It is exciting, no?"
As they made it to the mouth of the cave, Helga gave a shout, "Esmme," she said with barely restrained giddiness, "ve have a live one."

Another? Esmme pushed herself toward the den's entrance, and upon seeing the state Ameika was in, swiftly motioned for Ehl to carry her toward one of the spare rooms. This one had a dark magenta curtain - and the thickest blankets in the den. "Here," she took the girl from Ehl, seeing the boy's red eyes linger on her throat for a few seconds too long. "Auda has found someone as well," the elf said with a smile, eagerly taking the kitsune into the room and bundling her up in the blankets. "Would you like some tea?" she asked, carrying Ameika back out into the middle of the cavern to sit amongst the scattered cushions and rugs. Rubbing the young woman's back and muttering comfort to her, she ignored the temptation of her blood entirely. "It will help warm you up, dear."
Her blue eyes moved to meet Helga's gaze, and the vampire grinned wholeheartedly. "We have many new members tonight," she said, motioning toward Vyr's room. "Perhaps we will need a bigger den." She was merely joking, of course, but her happy face sang with joy as she headed toward the kitchen. "I believe we will need to start a fire," she said slowly, frowning at the thought, but knowing that life was worth saving. If the girl needed heat, then they would get her some - even if they couldn't do it with their own kindness, fire would be able to help.

COMING IN FOR OUR LANDING NOW!!! NEXT STOP: HOME!! he howled as they made for their final descent from the trees into the clearing right before the cave. The landing made him yelp slightly, he wasn't used to having to land flat foot but he didn't stop for a second. He kept on a running until the they finally reached the cave. As they entered, he slowed down to a walk look what the puppy dragged in he said to Helga and gave her a great big smile and licked her cheek

Ameika curled up into a ball even more, her ears were pinned back on her head as her tail wrapped around her as much as it could, it swished a little, she could feel her self being carried but it didn't wake her up. She just curled up even more, trying to block the cold, to get warm and away from the one thing that was trying to take her. then she was in some blankets, which caused her to bury her self even deeper into it, sighing in relief as she completely buried her self in them, hidding from the cold.

Helga was quick to return Esmme's grin. "Isn't it vonderful? Now ve just need dem to all to be healthy," she said. "I vill bring the firevood." she said, glancing at the sky outside. Just as she looked, Auda entered with a stranger on his back. The woman clung tightly to Auda's back with very large, almost worried eyes. Helga gave the woman a nod and warmly welcomed her favorite "pup."
"Auda!" she greeted with a scratch behind the ear, "How did you know I vanted a stranger for Christmas? I kid," she laughed at her own little joke before facing the tawny haired stranger again. Catching the smell of a vampire, she beaconed the woman to follow her to the kitchen. "Here," she said giving her a bottle of blood, while collecting one in her other hand, "drink some to feel better and follow me." Helga pointed her to Esmme. "This is our leader. She vill take goot care of you."
On her way back toward the mouth of the cave, Helga dropped the other bottle off by Ehl. "You are very strong you know?" she said, feeling proud to be a member of the Cullyn clan. Not waiting for an answer she dashed out to collect some branches. If they were keeping a kitsune in their midst, there's no telling how much wood they'd need.

***

Feeling dazed, Adia stood before the leader and twisted the neck of the bottle in her hands anxiously, "Hi?" she greeted the woman. The leader definitely held an air of authority about her.
Adia glanced back at the wolf, wondering what in the world was going to happen. She had heard of the type of vampires who lived off in caves, out in the wilderness, but she had not once ever thought she'd meet one, let alone an entire clan. In these rumors, those vampires who dwelt so far off were the most viscous... right now, she was hoping those tales were wrong.
