Esmme smiled warmly at the newcomer, standing and patting Auda's head before extending her hand toward Adia. "Welcome to our den," she said, blinking slowly. The vampire took a deep breath, catching the scent of everyone - it was pleasant, really. Wolf, vampire, kitsune - things were certainly lively that night. But . . . not all of them had to stay. She was offering solace, yes, and even a home . . . if they chose to stay. None of them had to . . . but she longed for them to choose to keep their place. "I am Esmme," she introduced herself to both Adia and Ameika at the same time, though faced the blond vampire while glancing down to the kitsune. "I would like to ask you to make yourselves at home as best you can. We are here to help you."

Taking the bottle that Helga passed to him, Ehl blushed (yes, my vampires can blush -_-') at her compliment. Strong. He certainly enjoyed the word, and seemed to take strength from it. If his clan thought he was strong, then he could be. He would do anything for them.
Inching toward the new people, Ehl glanced to Ameika, still curious about her ears . . . but knowing it would be best for him to wait. Unstopping his bottle, the youth took a swig, wiping his lips carefully. His red eyes then locked on Adia, the stranger that Auda had brought in with him. Congratulating the blue wolf, Ehl held his drink away from the animal as he sat down beside Auda, wrapping an arm about the wolf. "Where did you find her?" he asked, reigning in his own mind-reading abilities. He knew people found it intrusive, and the strangers didn't know about it yet - so why bother making a scene with it? Ehl had permission from the clan thus far, but that didn't include the newest additions. Just before he stopped with his mind reading, he caught the glimpse of someone else. Vyr, who hadn't joined them.
Frowning, the pale youth merely settled back to watch, wondering who these strangers were, eager to learn more about them. It had been two years since he'd seen anyone else but the Cullyn's. He was ready for more company.

Vyr had laid there hearing a loud commotion coming from somewhere nearby but he had been unable to do anything about it because of his lack of limb activity. It was really beginning to bother the elf that he couldn't move but he could very well hear everything that was going on even down to the point of being able to distinguish voices, this was... odd. Had he always been able to do this? No, this was something that had just awakened in him, he could feel the change in his body and he could also tell that his heart wasn't beating anymore. Am I dead? No, that can't be right or else that woman's voice wouldn't have registered before I blacked out for a while. Where am I? It was at this point that he figured out the numbness of his extremities had actually disappeared.

Opening his eyes slowly and blinking a few times, quite slowly at that, the features of the world seemed different, more... vibrant. His eyes could see the tiny details of the fibers of the curtain and in the bed, it was amazing. Looking down at his hands he flexed his fist, opening and closing it, several times and could feel a distinct difference in his strength level between now and earlier. Removing the blanket from his body he turned and stood up, hearing a crisp sound as he feet touched the floor even though it should have been silent to him. So all of my sense have been enhanced all of a sudden? What the hell is going on? Then he remembered the conversation he had had with the woman before he blanked out and suddenly things seemed to fit... Am I a vampire? It was true his features didn't seem to have changed much but his senses were much sharper, more in tune with the higher pitched sounds and the intricate details that he would never have been able to pick up as a drow alone.

Poking at has teeth he could tell they had become sharper than they already were which to him confirmed his suspicions. Sitting back on the bed, Vyr began to laugh as he placed his right hand up to his forehead, "Surely this is just a dream..." He didn't believe that, he was too much of a realist to believe that what he could physically confirm with his senses was an illusion. It would seem that his old life was over and it was time to move on. And it was at this moment something clicked, an overwhelming amount of rage and frustration. He was furious all of a sudden but he had no idea why. All he knew was that he wanted blood...

Once Ameika was warm enough she shot up and looked around the room, she hadn't heard anything that had been heard, she looked around everyone, taking in the scents that was around her before she took on a completely childish, innocent look. "I AM HUNGRY!!!!!" She said rather loudly, at the moment, she could smell the death in the air but she was hungry and was more concerned with food then anything else, the tail swishing back and forth as she took everything in that was going on.

Awwww, I love family reunions. hehe especially when they don't even know they're part of the family he says, tho not quite loud enough for the pups to hear, just for the big pups. Auda could feel it. The love. The Trust. The bond. It was like a real family. And Auda couldn't wait for the young pups to feel that. So, he trotted himself over to his curtain, content to go lay on his "bed" for awhile(everyone knows Auda doesn't really sleep there, its just a nice place for him to lay down every once in awhile. He really liked to sleep with everyone else, but no one could really tell if it was cuz of his "pack" mentality or if he just hated being lonely THAT much). But as soon as got to his curtain, his hair stood on end. His ears perked up. His tail went stiff. IT WAS ON. GRRRRRRRR.

Ehl glanced to Auda as he trotted over to his room, stiffening. "What is it this time?" he said with a quiet laugh. "Did you forget that you left a blanket in there?" Standing, the youth headed toward the blue wolf, but just as his hand touched the large creature's flank, he jerked away, looking startled.
Red eyes glanced back to the others, who seemed (besides Ameika) calm. The voice he'd heard . . . no, the thoughts he'd heard were full of malice. Scenting the air, Ehl frowned, turning back to Esmme, who had gone to the kitchen to grab the fruit for the kitsune. As soon as the clan leader knelt, offering the food to the girl, Ehl moved to touch her shoulder, whispering to her. "Where is the other?" he asked, trying not to sound too emotionally charged. "There was one you brought in, wasn't there?"
When Esmme pointed to Vyr's curtain, the dark-haired youth nodded and headed over toward it. As he neared the crimson cloth, the vampire slowed down, narrowing his eyes and scenting the air again. Listening for thoughts from the room, Ehl slowly extended a hand and brushed the edge of the curtain aside. "Hello?" he glanced inside, looking into the darkness for any sign of the male. He wasn't in the bed - which was unusual. No vampire shifted that quickly - not usually. Newborns were dangerous, at best. Their human blood still lingered within their form, giving them greater strength and agility than older vampires . . . even though it only lasted for a few weeks, it was a danger.
Just as he was about to call out to Esmme and let her know that Vyr wasn't there, a small movement caught his eye, and the youth stepped forward ever so slightly.

Esmme returned to the middle of the den with fruit for Ameika, kneeling down and offering her a few apples and oranges. "They aren't as fresh as they used to be," she said with a slight smile, "but if you're hungry, we can hunt later."

Vyr had heard the man's words and made sure that he was not still in that "room" when the man came to check. There was something odd about him, as if he had some sort of insight that the others seemed to lack... was it precognition? Maybe, but either way Vyr's body told him that he was craving blood and it was that urge that was driving his actions now, not logic. He was not so much a beast that he could not think but more along the lines of how human's had trouble keeping a clear mind when hungry.

He had hidden himself in the shadows down the hall from where he had originally been resting but he needed to get out of here and apparently there was only one exit. He would have to get through this... other vampire. He had the stench of death about him as well, now that he came to think of it, this place was filled with that smell. In other words, he was in a vampire's den. Preparing himself for an assault the newborn vampire took a slight step forward as he sunk into a "natural" lunging stance. He hissed as he saw the male react to his step as his crimson eyes glowed from the shadows. Being that he was already a well trained fighter, he wondered just how much his "improvements" would impact his skills. It would seem now was the time to test out his theory.

Ehl heard the hiss, and immediately sank into a crouch of his own, his gentle demeanor shifting to one of feral defense. "I am not your enemy," he said, bearing his fangs and giving a hiss to match the newborn's. He's not down. He's already up. Red eyes scanning over the dark elf (another creature he was curious about, having never seen before), Ehl shook his head a bit. "If you're hungry, you can hunt. But not here."
His mind flit to the kitsune and Auda, the only living things in the den. You will not harm my family. "Calm down. No one here is going to do anything against you. I have a way for you to get food, if you'll just show me you can understand what I'm saying." Hunger often blurred the perception of newborns - and Ehl hadn't dealt with one before, but had heard of Esmme's recounts of both Kej and himself.
Slowly easing himself forward, Ehl tensed, ready to defend himself should the new vampire attack.

"FOOD!!!!!" Ameika cried out as she hugged Esmme, she then took the food that was handed to her and began to eat then hungrily, sticking her tongue out some at the bitter taste but she still ate it no the less because she was hungry. "Thank You Mommie!!!!" she said to Es after she had finished eatting, being childish more then ever, she hugged her once more before she ran around looking at everything before she hugged Esmme once more, refusing to let go this time.

Vry unveiled a loud and sinister hiss as the other vampire took a step forward informing the male that this was more than a simple warning it was a threat. He had understood everything the male had said but he didn't know him nor did he trust him in the least bit and his unwillingness to compromise was proof of that. A savage growl rumbling in Vry's throat he decided he would give the man one chance to move or else he would kill him without hesitation, "Move..." That was all the warning the older vampire would get, and it was the final bit of patience that Vyr had in him. With his teeth bared and eyes overflowing with a feral rage, he needed to feed and it was his hunger that fueled his anger, allowing his emotions to cloud his judgement.

((Adia can be a bit of a snot sometimes, so I just want to clarify that if she's acting stupid, it's not my opinion of any of you she's reflecting, which you all probably know, but I thought I'd say it anyway, lol.))

Adia was relieved that these vampires didn't seem to be cruel at all. In fact, their attitude toward the helpless almost made Adia feel inspired. Instead, she looked down at the bottle of blood she had been handed earlier and wondered why she was not offered a glass. "Uncivilized maybe?" she thought, snottily. Clearing her throat, Adia asked Esmme, "Is there a servant here? I'd like a glass," she laughed a little, as finding it funny that she was not offered a glass earlier.

Upon returning, Helga dropped an armful of branches and twigs in the corner. Surveying the dwelling, she smiled warmly seeing how everyone seemed to be finding their places among the Cullyn's quite nicely. "Kej vill be surprised to find such a full house," she thought. That's when she saw Auda's apparent caution and concern. In a low voice, she asked to wolf, "Vhat is happening?" She couldn't smell anything new, but she did feel a general malaise in her soul, and worried this peace wouldn't last very long.

Auda slowly turns his head slightly towards Helga It's the new pup. He just got the hunger for the first time. As Auda lowers his self to the ground he looks to EsEs, it's your call. I can subdue him like I had to do to Ehl, or whatever else you think is best. You know I'll do whatever u say

Lizz looked up, tears almost forming her her eyes. She had never been offered the chance to start over.... She'd never even considered it a possibility. "W..w..where would I go? I have no home.." She said sadly as blood red tear slid down her cheek. If this man could give her a place to stay, she'd owe him her life.

Helga nodded silently. After surveying the room, she could see that Ehl was missing. And though she believed in Ehl's abilities and felt like an older sister toward the vampire, she could not rid herself of worrying for him at that instant. She too looked to Esmme, hoping she'd know what to do or at least sooth her anxieties.

Kej fell completely still, the gentle snowfall the only thing breaking the unmoving scene. "Come with me," he offered, slowly helping her to her feet. Gray eyes filled with consideration as the vampire observed the girl. "I know of a place where you can learn different ways." Offering his hand, the vampire smiled tightly, knowing this girl had been moved to do what she did out of hunger and fear. She could use a second chance, by the looks of her. Motioning to her, the elf tilted his head a bit. "Don't be frightened."

Ehl shook his head once, bracing for an attack. "I won't let you hurt them." His voice was slurred by his extended fangs, and the youth let a rough snarl break from his lips as he moved to defend the entrance to the main part of the den. No doubt the others already had an inkling of what was going on. They had sensitive hearing. They didn't need to read minds to know it was getting worse.
"Stand down," Ehl growled, suddenly crouching and baring his fangs threateningly. If Vyr got past him, then he would move on to the others - and his first concern was for the kitsune girl. What if the newborn got to her too quickly?

Esmme raised an amused eyebrow at Adia as she referred to having a servant serve her a glass. "There are glasses in the top cupboard to the left, dear." Her tone wasn't biting, or even annoyed, but merely full of gentle chiding. "They aren't too high for you to reach."
It was then that she caught a sound from the back rooms, and heard Auda's soft comment. Stroking Ameika's hair thoughtfully, the vampire nodded. "Don't let the newborn out of his room."

((Just to clarify, there is one hallway, along which are a few rooms - at the end of which is Es' room. ;) The other rooms are in the main part of the cave, merely "holes in the wall" along the side. The kitchen is toward the back, and that's about it. Not very big, but big enough for them. :lol:))

Auda lifts his head up and slowly but purposefully walks into the room where the pup is making his standPUP! LOOK HEREAuda then opens his mouth and shows off his fangsNot only do I have much more combat experience than you, But I have more teeth and you have fangs. And while YOU may fight to feed, I will be fighting to protect OUR family Auda barksSo if your are so hungry as to put your new life on the line, then by all means, leap. Now, if our mistress will allow it, this is where I ask you all to take a few steps back

Adia blinked at the leader. "All right. Thanks," she said slowly before rising to get the glass herself. But as she poised the bottle to pour blood into her glass, she hesitated and remained still. The noises from the nearby rooms were growing more and more troublesome. From being slightly curious to being slightly fearful, Adia pushed herself against the counter. She didn't like fighting and prayed whatever was going on with this mysterious newborn would end soon.

Helga watched as Auda bravely stepped into the room. While continuing to listen to the would-be battle, she positioned herself between Ameika and the hall. She did not doubt her families abilities, but felt she should be a buffer between the the kitsune and the ravenously hungry newborn.
"Do not vorry," she said to the kitsune girl, "ve vill not let him hurt you."

(That's what I had imagined so I understand oh and he is located at the end of the hallway towards Es' room not in his... sorry that it wasn't clarified :sweat:)

Unshaken by the words of the older male or the wolf, Vyr lunged at the vampire without hesitation while keeping the wolf in his sights, letting out a bone-chilling roar once Ehl said he would not move. There was no mistakes about it, he intended to kill him, and to do so quickly so that he could leave. The newborn raised his right arm bringing his steel like claws down with all his power in an attempt to pin his opponent for a swift kill, assuming he didn't die simply from the force of the attack. This style of fighting was new to him, but it felt as natural to him as his elven styles did the years of training it took him to learn them. He had also taken notice that he seemed to be trying to prevent him from exiting or trying to protect someone, which may be used to his advantage if he could keep his head straight. If this went on too long it would be impossible for him to think rationally, as he was straining to do so now...

Auda swiftly charges into the room, and closes his mouth around the wrist of the newborn and dragging it towards the other side of the room, effectively stealing the newborn's momentum and flipping him onto his back. After bringing him to the floor, Auda swiftly turns around and slashes his arms, hoping to rob him of their use before clamping his jaws around his neck. Just hard enough to that there would be a bruise, but not hard enough to break the skin

Ameika looked from one person to the other, her ears twitching towards any noise that was made, she was confused as to what was going on, she stayed clinging to Esmme, her ears laying flat on her head everytime that the elf vampire touched them, springing back up once her hand was off of them. "You have a funny accent." she said to Helga as she giggled a little, at the way she talked, for her it made it tough for her to understand what she was saying but she smiled none the less, pretending that she understood what was going on around her. "Wny the hurtting each other?" she asked just as innocently as her face said she was, she turnned her questioning eyes towards the woman that she was still hugging, trying as hard as she could to understand things.

((okay so she may be 18 in human years and appear younger but in kitsune years she is still a baby of sorts lol))

(I just had the funniest scene play in my head but I cannot tell... anywho, my feelins is hurt that my comment above got ignored :cry:)

Vry was further enraged when the wolf snatched him away from his attack on the other vampire and went on to assault him in the confines of his room. Unable to find a chance to counter once the wolf attempted to clamp down on his neck the newborn landed a smashing blow to the creature's temple and snatched him by the neck as he rose swiftly to his feet only to slam the canine down on his back with all of his strength. Moving from the body of the wolf, unable to feel the wounds on his arms at this point because of his pure rage, Vyr dashed out of the room looking to take off Ehl's head in one stroke.

(Yeah... he is totally pissed now LOL)

oooo, someone must think himself a crafty little bugger Auda slowly gets up and shakes off the little pups dancing in front of his eyes Then runs after the young one. Pup, if you don't stop now I WILL start taking pieces off you. And neither of us wants Auda to have more chew toys

After just hearing Auda pin the vampire, Helga felt slightly confused when her attention was called away from the battle. Helga was surprised and awed by how childlike the kitsune was. In fact, she found it almost enviable that she was able to seem so untouched by the intense fighting near her. "I am from Russia," Helga said slowly and as clearly as she could, "so I have accent." Her attention was soon drawn away from the girl, though, as the fighting worsened.

She stood alert as the sound of fighting grew closer. She would pounce the newborn at first sight if need be, until then, she waited as back-up would.

((be warned Es when Ameika becomes a vampire kitsune she will be nomming lol))

Ehl flinched back from the first attack, meaning to retaliate - but Auda got to the drow first. The black elf was yanked back into the room, Auda's jaws clamped at his neck. When Vyr slammed the wolf off of him, moving toward Ehl once again, the youth backed away just in time, his enemy slicing at empty air. With a snarl, Ehl drove his fist into Vyr's gut, snagging the dark elf's hair and forcing his head down. Instead of talking, as he usually did, the youth hissed loudly, using his strength to drive the drow to the floor as best he could.

Esmme listened quietly, her attention truly on the battle in the next room. When Ameika spoke, the vampire smiled a bit. "They are learning from one another," she said slowly. "One of them is angry, and wishes to hurt some of us. The others will help him calm down." If they can't stop him, then I will.
Raising her head, the den mother turned a cold gaze toward the hall once again.

((lol, little kitsune Ameika. :lol: I can see it now . . . *wipes imaginary drool off of her ear*))

"I like your accent....but i still think it sounds funny.....in a good way." Ameika said to Helga pausing in her sentences as she tried to make them sound nice, once she was done she nodded her head as if that was what she was trying to get across, her ear then flicked towards Esmme when she spoke once more, she looked curiouly up at the woman. "Oh....i will go help." she said cheer fully to the head mistress as she let her go and scampered over to the hallway, peering down it before she crawled her way over to the two men that were fighting. "It's not nice to be angry." she said in her small voice as she looked at both of them, trying to figure out which one was angry and which one was trying to calm the other one down. Her head cocked to the side letting her long brown hair fall over her shoulder. Her yellow green eyes scanned them over before she jumpped up and hugged them both, it was clear that she didn't understand everything that was going on between them or the fact that one of them was a danger to her.
