War. Its never a simple, clean-cut thing. When you throw in a couple of demons, things just get messier. Julian was sitting in one of the bars in the town just a little further from the main castle and the barracks. He was drinking and being rowdy with a couple of other guys he met just a couple of minutes ago. Recently, thing have been quiet and no attacks were reported, so he had a quite a bit of time for himself. Of course, he knew that not everyone was happy about it... For example the guy in front of him that Julian was almost drinking under the table.
"Ha! What kind of a man are you?" he teased," You should learn to hold your liqueur!" he smirked and took another large gulp while the man in front just groaned.

Lillianna, or Lilli as she was more commonly known, just happened to be in the same tavern. Drink in hand, she had one long leg drawn up, her expression showing a mild disinterest. She wasn't much for drinking, although she could easily hold her liquor; the only reason she was here was because there was nothing else to do.

She heard a commotion on the other side of the room and sent a glance that way, recognizing one of the men right away. "Ugh, Julian," she muttered. She tossed down her drink, then set the glass down a little heavily and crossed the room.

"You know, you could get in trouble for this," Lilli said casually, leaning against his chair. She crossed her arms over her chest, sending him a smug look. "But hey, that would be great for me. Drink away."

[[Ooh, I like it!]]

He smirked and glanced at her without turning his head. so she showed up, huh? It's been a while since she last came to thins place.
"Ah, my dear Lilli..." he started, "Aren't you supposed to be training that little ass of yours off?" he poked at the fact that he was always able to beat her at any sparing practice.
"If you won't train, you'll never be able to beat me..." he chuckled and took another huge gulp of his drink.
"But what's this? Maybe you were worrying about me?" he turned to her with a smug smile.

Julian enjoyed teasing her, that would make his day every single time. He had nothing against her really, just some 'friendly' rivalry, but it turned out to be a great thing to both of them, since striving to be the best was what attracted the lord's attention.

Lilli scoffed, rolling her eyes on him. "Puh-lease, Julius, why would I worry about you," she asked mockingly. "Anyways, you only win because I go easy on you. It wouldn't help our cause if I was injuring our fighters. No matter how useless," she added sweetly. There was a chuckle from the group; most, if not all of them, were used to the pair's banter. She never really meant half of the thigns she said; she respected him well enough. But teasing him was fun, she would admit. It was enough to lighten her mood on most days.

She watched him for a second, her head tilted to the side as if she were examining an interesting new species, then suddenly leaned in closer to him, taking his chin in her hand.

"Besides," she said, tilting his chin up. She examined his face, her expression between playful disgust and mild amusement. "If I train my little ass off, you can't stare at it." She released his chin and pushed away from him, turning back to the bar as the guys around them laughed. Maybe she would have another drink.

The group Julian was with burst out laughing wildly and some even hammered the table.
"Julian got served~!" they teased, even tears came out of the corners of their eyes. Some wolf whistles followed Lilli as she left for the bar.

Julian, obviously wasn't very pleased with the situation. He scowled at Lilli and then back at the guys. "Conceited little brat..." he hissed under his breath and took another huge sip of his drink. His ears were twitching from anger. Seeing the guys couldn't stop laughing he slammed his mug against the table and stood up clenching his fists.
'Okay, who's up for a little spar..?" his eyes were burning with evil flames that shut everyone up.

Lilli leaned against the bar casually, another drink already in hand. She had heard the whistles, had heard the comments- and figured Julian wasn't too happy with her. Oh well, boys would be boys, and Lilli would be Lilli. She wasn't the promiscuous type, but she could be a tease when she wanted to. Anyways, it had done what she wanted, so she was okay with whatever consequences came her way.

She heard his calling for a spar and couldn't help a small, throaty chuckle as she sipped at her drink. Oh yes, definetely mad. Mission accomplished.

"I have an idea," one of the guys said, a lower ranking sergeant, nothing more then a grunt, really. "Why don't you spar our lovely Lillianna?" There was an excited murmur through the group. Lilli looked at Julian, one eyebrow raised, before shaking her head.

"First off, I'm not your anything, except for your superior," she said. "And second, I just don't think so." She tossed back her drink, setting the glass on the bar behind her.

Julian smirked hearing the request and Lilli's decline.
"Well well well... Is our general chickening out all of a sudden?" he started to tease, still fuming. He knew he could beat her, he was confident. However, that didn't mean that he underestimated her. Julian knew she was a strong opponent, but it was just what he needed to chill...

"Come on, dear, I wont hurt you..." he approached her with a devilish smirk, his fangs showing, his arms wide open.

Lilli was already sipping at another drink, her blood red eyes flashing dangerously when he called her a chicken. Confident, condiscending little prick, she thought, setting the glass down with a little more force then necessary. She got up and approached him, going right into his arms. Standing on tiptoe, she put her lips near his ear, fangs exposed.

"You're on," she growled softly. "But I'm not going easy on you." Then, she pushed him away and headed for the door, fuming. She wasn't completely wasted, but she was drunk enough to the point where her already short temper was flatlining it.

"Oooooo~!" the guys in the bar laughed and Julian smirked. He followed her out to a little clearing near the bar. He made sure to stand on the opposite side of the field than Lilli. Soon after them a bigger crowd of demons and demon soldiers stepped out to enjoy the view.

Julian stood straight and waited for her to get ready.
"Ladies first," he bowed dramatically as he waited for her first strike.

Lilli rolled her eyes at him, preparing to attack. "Now, now, Julian, doesn't that mean you should be going first?" Her hand slipped down to her hip, where she kept her whip coiled. A coy grin danced on her lips before she unfurled it, aiming to wrap it around his ankles, yanking as she did so.

"Besides, I never said I was a lady," she called over the crack, bracing her feet against the ground and using both hands to yank on it.

[[Hurmm... whip tactics okay? If not I can change it :sweat: ]]

Julian had quite a bit of alcohol, enough for his brain to mess with his balance. The whip strike was accurate, hence leaving him on the ground and a bunch of demons laughing their asses off.

Julian grunted a bit as he came to his senses after the fall.
"Well excuse me," he smirked, "i won't make that mistake again..." having that said, he grew his claws and stabbed them in the ground. By doing so, he had a solid ground to keep a hold on and tug the whip strongly enough to make it loose and get his legs free again.
"Who-pa!" he said excitedly as he sprung back to his feet and took a defensive stance.

"How about if I let you go first again for the sake of our friendship?"

Lilli tried to regain her balance, thrown off a little by him tugging on the whip to get free. She pulled it back, flicking it back and forth like a cats tail. "Friendship? I'm afraid I haven't the slightest idea of what you're talking about," she said, smirking at him. "Besides, we all know if I went again, this would be over," she called, the crowd laughing and whooing. "Come on, Julian dear, show me what you've got, if you think you're man enough."

Julian smirked revealing his fangs again, his eyes turning wild.
"If you insist..." with those words he threw his hands to sides completely retracting his nails and making them as solid as steal. Being a cat hybrid he saw the flailing whip as a toy, similar to a mouse and Julian became determined hunter.

"Brace yourself, honey, because you're about to see what I'm made off!" he instantly made a dash towards her, or at least he made it look like it, while actually he was aiming for the whip itself. Once he got close enough, Julian jumped and reached out his claws. The flailing whip got tangled in between and he instantly stretched it.

Lilli tried to dodge out of the way when he dashed, only to be yanked down, the whip pulled taught between the two of them. She rolled up and grabbed it with both hands, yanking as hard as she could as she got to her feet. Her goal was to throw him to the ground, so that she could pin him.

"Come on, Julian," she panted, yanking on the whip again. "Is that all you've got?"

Holding his ground tight, he chuckled, he had her right where he wanted. He waited for another yank and this time he darted at her along with the whip. While her weapon was still entangled between the blades of his claws, he could barely hurt him. Using that he whirled around her with her own whip and appeared behind her with his other claw under her throat.

"I was trying to be a gentleman," he said near her ear, "And now look how we ended up..." he pointed out the fact that now she had her body pressed against his with her back and he was preventing her from moving with his claw. One unnecessary movement and she might loose blood... Lots of it. And jut to tick her more off, he licked her cheek playfully.
"I guess I win..."

The crowd cheered. The match was officially over and everyone went back inside for another round of drinks. As everyone left, Julian retracted his claws and set Lilli free.
"That was a good fight," he said honestly and turned to follow everyone inside.

Lilli flinched at the pain she felt; the pain of a hearty slap to the ego. She sighed as she felt his claw slide under her chin, her irritation mounting as he licked her chin. "You're disgusting," she hissed, wiping at her cheek as soon as he released her.

"Yeah, great for you," she growled softly, brushing past him and going into the bar. Her stormy expression kept the teasing she would have surely recieved at bay. She sat at the bar and motioned for the bar tender to give her something strong. He nodded and produced a heavy, sour smelling vodka; she knocked it back easy, wiping ruby lips with the back of one pale hand. She knew she was being a poor sport; she could have easily just said no to the spar and spared herself the humiliation. "Stupid pride," she sighed, resting her forehead against the cool surface of the bar.

[[Aww, poor Lilli. She's a sulker.]]

Overhearing her, Julian chuckled. Being called disgusting was a compliment coming from her lips. He didn't mind her sulking like that, in fact, it was amusing. Julian watched her return to the bar and only then did he enter himself.

"Hey, Julian, that was a great fight, come have a drink with us," some soldiers invited him, "It's our treat..." they added and Julian was bought.
"I hope you brought enough money with you," he replied and joined them at the table. They partied for a long time, some demons began to leave the bar and Julian thought that it was just about time for them to return to the barracks as well.

He stood up and stretched, his eyes searched the bar. Seeing Lilli still at it, he approached her.
"Hey, it's time to get going," he poked her, 'You can still walk on your own, can't you?" he teased.

Lilli looked up at him with one eyebrow raised, leaning back against the bar. "No, I'm pretty wasted," she said flatly. "I think I'm going to need help." The fact that she was admitting to needing help was a testament to her drunkness; when sober, Lilli would rather be skinned alive then ask anyone for help, especially from Julian. She stood up and swayed a little, brushing her hair out of her eyes. "I'm going to have a killer hangover in the morning," she observed, straightening her tight-fitting top.

It was a rare sight to see her that wasted. Oh he would have so much fun in the morning reminding her things that happened. He could just imagine her facial expression... But that would have to wait, for now he actually considered taking her back with him.

Julian caught her arm and swung it over his neck.
"Bear with it, dear," he said, "it'll soon be over." He held her waist and made his way towards the barracks. Luckily it was late enough and no one really notice them.
"Hoi! You still awake? Or are you at the verge of dieing?"

"I'm still awake, if I'm still walking," she said, rolling her eyes. "But my head is going to split in two if you keep yelling in my ear." This would be one killer hangover, if her head was already hurting. She leaned against him, her shorter height giving her the advantage of being able to rest against him. "When did the barracks get so far?" she mused, a small, drunken slur noticeable at the tail end of her speech.

"Is that so?" he replied, "It seemed to me that you were dragging yourself rather than walking..." Julian sighed and kept quiet for the rest of the way to the barracks. The patrolling demon recognized them right away and they got through without having to stop for check ups and other formalities.

Julian dragged her the last couple of feet to her bed, hauled her up and tossed on the bed. He stretched, that was a pretty nice workout, but now he was dieing to get some sleep.

"Hey, at least we're getting somewhere," she said, rolling her eyes.

Lilli frowned as he tossed her on her bed, looking at him with one eyebrow raised. She sat up a little, leaning on her elbows. "Well, I guess we just throw people around," she said idly, teasing him. "Thanks, anyways. I probably wouldn't have made it here by myself." She took a shallow breathe and closed her eyes, her head starting to really hurt. "Oh, and best that you forget about this tomorrow," she added, opening one eye.
