I hate the Fruits Basket anime! It was awful!!

@Cica: Tohru is annoying but Kyo, Kureno, Haru, and all the side characters are what make that series worth reading. Tohru is just an airhead *doesn't like her at all*

I never got into Fruits Basket either. :(
I remember being in 6th grade and every girl in my homeroom reading Fruits Basket/passing it around to each other to borrow. It always seemed like some sort of cheap romance to me. :gonk:

Technically speaking, Fruits Basket was the first manga I've ever seen. :P

tohru is rather airheady but I don't really dislike her. I just love kyo, haru, machi, momiji, everyone else

@Cica: I'm entirely used to hating the main characters of like almost every series I read so I just keep reading anyway. There are only a few books where I didn't hate the main character.

@cica: yea tohru is kind of.... a goody goody hahaha but she grows on you like a fungus! there are some really dark characters in it too, so don't be fooled, there are many dark pasts...buuuut i love it!! i am kind of a hatori, shigure, and ayami fan! go mabudachi trio!!!

@miro: yea the fact that all the raccoons were showing their places was a little disturbing...

and ESCAFLOWNE is soooo good... i have the whole series and the movie! love them both!!!! the main character, hitomi annoyed me to no end in both!

I can hate their friends, I can hate their allies/enemies, I can hate the people who raised them/their children/whatever... But I really cannot hate the main character. Or else I'll get bored and forget about reading the book any further.

@Linny: I like pretty much everyone in that book except maybe yuki and tohru... i even started liking akito toward the end. and shigure had his days.

@Facade: I can't help it I lose patient with the main characters, it's been that way for a long time. Like in harry potter I hated harry the entire book series. I hate frodo in lord of the rings. I hate zoey in the house of night series. It's just normal for me to dislike the main characters I don't know why. People can't see how i can read a book when i don't like the main character but the thing is I like the story and the side characters are almost always awesome. and since i've been that way as long as i could remember i'm used to it

@wings: i didn't really like yuki till the end of the series when ..... i won't say anything in case some haven't read it, but it was near the end... like the last few volumes

@arcadai: hana kimi was a fantastic manga! i read the series and i have been watching the drama now actually (well not right now, but lately) it's not so bad, but i am a shun oguri fan though lol

Almost all the characters are annoying but you get used to it. It's mostly supposed to be about angst.

That one girl that turns into a Boar is what makes the anime kinda sour, too.
I can deal with Tohru just fine--you do want to strangle her, though. There's a lot of female leads like that in anime series.

Another example would be Yuuki off of Vampire Knight. I completely hate her. D:

I believe thats sooo...tard! It makes you think they're going to make a second part so they can be together after another wordly battle, but nooo. :talk2hand:

er...I liked Inuyasha at first and the ending of Inuyasha where Naraku finally dies.
I still dislike how emo-drama he is all over Kikyo when they make him get with Kagome throughout the whole series.
I basically only watched the show for Miroku, that cow riding dude mainly and the big battle scenes--thats about it. ;> . >
